The Atlantic Provinces

• The ATLANTIC PROVINCES are found on the EAST coast, beside the ATLANTIC ocean.

• The Atlantic Provinces include:1. Prince Edward Island (YIPPPPEEEE!!!)2. New Brunswick3. Nova Scotia4. Newfoundland and Labrador

• Major activities in the Atlantic (also called Maritime Provinces)– Fishing– Tourism– Farming– Forestry (New Brunswick)

Ontario (The Center of the World)….oh ya and Quebec….

• Two of the largest provinces in Canada, located in the middle of the country

• Home to some of the countries largest cities like Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City

• Toronto is the country’s largest city and Ottawa the capitol of Canada is also in Ontario

• These are the places found in the Prairie Provinces:

West Coast Provinces• These are the places found on

the WEST coast of Canada, beside the PACIFIC ocean.

• BRITISH COLUMBIA is known as the West Coast of Canada

• Also, Alberta is also considered to be out west

• Canada came together as a country on July 1st, 1867.

• Before this, we were a colony of Great Britain (England)

• We provided supplies, materials, money and labor for the “Mother Country”

• After confederation, and today, we continue to have a close relationship....we see this played out in history
