Clinical Medical Assistant
The Medical Assisting Program prepares students for
clinical and laboratory procedures, administrative roles,
human relations, and provides working knowledge in
phlebotomy and EKG procedures. Students will gain a
strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, medical
terminology, the healthcare profession, and safety
procedures. Upon successful program completion,
students will be eligible for the National Healthcareer
Association’s (NHA) certifications in Certified Medical
Assistant CCMA.
Length: 360 Hours

Patient Care Technician
Patient Care Technicians gain entry-level knowledge and
clinical skills needed to work in a variety of employment
settings like hospitals, surgical centers, and rehabilitation
facilities. Employment for Patient Care Technicians is
expected to grow 17 percent from 2014 to 2024, much
faster than the national average for all occupations. Upon
successful program completion, students will be eligible
for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
certification in Certified Patient Care
Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A).

Certified Nurse Aide
The Certified Nurse Aide in Long-Term Care Facilities
Program is a New Jersey Department of Health and
Senior Services approved training course. The objective
of this program is to provide students with basic nurse
aide knowledge and skills needed to care for residents
and prepare nurse aides to assume the responsibilities of a
trained caregiver. A nurse aide candidate must
successfully complete the New Jersey curriculum for
Nurse Aide in Long Term Care Facilities Training and
Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).

Phlebotomist
The Phlebotomist is a vital member of the clinical
laboratory team whose main function is to obtain
patient’s blood specimens by performing veni-punctures
and capillaries for collection of minute quantities of
blood. Students will gain national certification through
the Phlebotomy Technician Certification program (CPT),
which is accredited by the National Commission for
Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and issues CPT
certifications through National Healthcareer Association,
Inc.

Introduction to Basic
Electrical Begin a career in the electrical field with this hands-on training
course. You will learn about apprenticeships, construction safety,
construction math, and electrical theory and drawings. You will
also study introductions to electrical circuits, National Electrical
Code, device boxes, hand bending, raceways and fittings,
conductors and cables, electrical test equipment and more. The
course includes OSHA 10 hour certification and uses the industry
recognized National Center for Construction Education & Research
(NCCER) Construction Core and Electrical Level 1 curricula.
Tuition includes the cost of books and materials. Payment plans are
available.

Introduction to Basic
Construction This course covers the basics of carpentry, safety, use of
hand/power tools used in the construction trade. You will receive
experience in and understanding of the various aspects of the
industry to prepare for careers in construction. This program offers
both a hands-on approach and textbook instruction. Upon
successful completion students will prepare to enter the various
trades in construction.

Automotive Technology Learn comprehensive training in maintenance, engine repair,
automatic and manual transmissions, steering and suspension, and
electrical systems and perform hands-on automotive projects in our
state-of-the-art facility. Upon successful completion, you will
become qualified to take the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
test. The job market is promising, as you will have acquired the
skills needed to work in an automotive dealership, auto repair shop
or similar automotive setting, as an entry-level automotive
technician.

Basic WELDING/LEVEL1 WELDING
(Industry: Construction Trades)
This basic welding course will allow students to gain entry-level
knowledge of welding techniques and skills. Participants will learn
safety regulations and basic, electrical current as it pertains to
welding. The focus of this course will include welding theory and
practical training in booths on steel, stainless and aluminum plates
and pipes and expose participants to SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and
FCAW. Students will learn safety and proper use of machines and
tools, oxy fuel cutting, plasma arc cutting, amperage, electrode
sizing and numbering, basic weld joint design, and metal
identification. Upon completion, students will receive a Career and
Technical skills certificate and students are encouraged to join the
American Welding Society (AWS). Safety Equipment Needed:
Boots, Safety Glasses, Stick (leather) gloves, helmet (auto
darkening preferred), and long sleeve shirt must be wore and
available for each class.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Industry: Business Management and Administration)
This course is for individuals pursuing a career in the
Administrative Support Pathway. Students will acquire
skills to facilitate business operations through a variety
of administrative and clerical duties, including
information and communication management, data
processing and collection, and project tracking.

CULINARY ARTS
(Industry: Retail, Hospitality and Tourism)
This course develops skills in the Culinary Arts and prepares
students for the many entry-level positions available in the
Retail/Hospitality/Tourism industry. This comprehensive
course provides students with knowledge and skills related to
commercial food service establishments. Course topics range
widely, to include sanitation and safety procedures, knife
skills, nutrition and dietary guidelines, food preparation and
production, as well as, meal planning and presentation.
Students will earn their Safe Serv Food Handler certification.
Employment opportunities for trained, skilled individuals are
endless, eight out of the top 18 employers in New Jersey fall
within the retail, hospitality, and tourism industries.
