Catacomb of Nunziatella

This small catacomb was excavated in connection with the rural settlement above it. The entrance to thecatacomb is accessible via a staircase that leads to a cubicle and to a narrow cemetery area, which wasprobably initially independent to the rest of the catacomb.

The cubicle, intended for the use of a small family, preserves a pictorial decoration with scenes inspired fromthe Old and New Testament, thus allowing us to date it to the beginning of the fourth century.
