BVP Delhi (South) had started Elocution
(Declamation) Contest in January, 2013 for
which there was a very encouraging
response. This year the Prant embarked upon
a more ambitious plan and decided to
organize not only Declamation Contest but
also Essay Writing Competition. Shri K. B.
Mahajan, Vice President (Baal Sanskar) took the challenge to
coordinate the event across BVP Delhi (South). And he did it very
successfully and effectively.
The subject for both the contests was “Relevance of Moral
Values in the Present Context”.
Anticipating the response the State was divided into 3 Unit
(details were published in the last issue of VIKAS SANDESH)
under the charge of coordinators (Smt. Promila Grover & Ms.
Lily for South Zone), Smt. Deepshikha Dandu and Shri K. B.
Mahajan for West Zone).
Initially the response was lukewarm but as the Coordinators
stepped up their efforts with the cooperation of the branches in
the respective areas, response picked up. As many as 34 schools
from all over the Prant got connected with us. A total of 269
participants came forward for both the competitions. The
biggest satisfaction has been that among the participating
schools 8 were from Dwarka alone. The winner were :
