Join The New Story Group of Waterloo Region for conversation about building more inclusive
communities where everyone can belong.
Using an Appreciative Inquiry approach, facilitator and community leader D’Arcy Farlow will guide
participants through a process of learning, connecting, and engaging with one another to:
Discover what it means to belong in a diverse community.
Envision an ideal future in which all citizens have a sense of belonging.
Create momentum that moves us towards this ideal future.
Sustain communities of belonging through leadership and innovation.
Speakers: Day 1: John Lord, Researcher and Author
Day 2: Paul Born, Tamarack Institute; Brandon Spunar, STEP Home Community Connections
Who should attend: Community members and representatives of Waterloo Region organizations with
an interest in promoting belonging for all citizens, especially those that have been disenfranchised.
