DEMO ON
HISTORY OF ANSYSANSYS, Inc. is an American Computer-aided engineering software developer headquartered south of Pittsburgh in Cecil Township, Pennsylvania, United States,
The company was founded in 1970. by John A. Swanson as Swanson Analysis Systems, Inc (SASI)
The company grew by 10 percent to 20 percent each year, and in 1994 it was sold to TA Associates.
The new owners took SASI’s leading software, called ANSYS
Stable release 17.0 (January 2016)
What is ANSYS?ANSYS is a general purpose software, used to
simulate interactions of all disciplines of physics, structural, vibration, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and electromagnetic for engineers.
Ansys publishes engineering analysis software across a range of disciplines as follows
Finite element analysis
structural analysis
computational fluid dynamics
Heat transfer
Explicit dynamic analysis.
FEA Finite element analysis (FEA) is the modeling of
products and systems in a virtual environment, for the purpose of finding and solving potential (or existing) structural or performance issues.
FEA is the practical application of the finite element method (FEM), which is used by engineers and scientist to mathematically model and numerically solve very complex structural, fluid, and multiphysicsproblems.
Benefits of FEA
FEA can be used in new product design, or to refine an existing product, to ensure that the design will be able to perform to specifications prior to manufacturing with FEA you can:
Predict and improve product performance and reliability
Reduce physical prototyping and testing
Evaluate different designs and materials
Optimize designs and reduce material usage

THERMAL CONCEPTS
THERMAL ANALYSIS
The effects of heat and thermal management of structures is more and more critical as performance limits are pushed further by the need to have lighter, smaller and more efficient designs.
COMPUTATIONAL FLUID
DYNAMICS
ANSYS computational fluid dynamics CFD
simulation software allows you to predict, with confidence,
the impact of fluid flows on your product throughout design
and manufacturing as well as during end use.
ANSYS CFD solutions are fully integrated
into the ANSYS Workbench platform. This environment
delivers high productivity and easy-to-use workflows
COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS
EXPLICIT DYNAMIC ANALYSIS
When simulating events involving short-duration, large-strain, large-deformation, fracture, complete material failure or structural problems with complex contact interactions, there is an ANSYS explicit dynamics solution to meet any customer's needs
EXPLICIT DYNAMIC ANALYSIS
Product lifecycle management (PLM) is an
information management system that can integrate data, processes, business systems and, ultimately, people in an extended enterprise.PLMsoftware allows you to manage this information throughout the entirelifecycle of a product efficiently and cost-effectively, from ideation, designand manufacture, through service and disposal.
Diverse functions and technologies converge through PLM, including: Product data management (PDM) Computer-aided design (CAD) Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) 3D computer-aided engineering (CAE) and simulation Predictive engineering analytics Mechatronic system simulation (1D CAE) Finite element analysis (FEA) Modal testing and analysis Digital manufacturing Manufacturing operations management (MOM)
