Wind Crystal Arabians Herd Dispersal 1 On January 11, Dan Golike, owner of Wind Crystal Arabians was tragically killed in a farm accident. His herd of horses from a lifetime of breeding were suddenly facing a dire situation and imminent sale to a Slaughter Buyer. Dan’s son, Lincoln, stepped in and with the quick help of several local Arabian breeders the situation has been stabilized. The Arabian Community has once again shown their compassionate spirit in the response to this tragedy. Many local horse people are to thank for bringing hay and immediately purchasing horses to raise funds for the care of the remaining horses. The Arabian Horseman’s Distress Fund is also paying for feed, hay and supplies. The Golike’s are abundantly grateful for all of the support and help they have received. And they wish to thank everyone sincerely. To handle personal donations for the family a PayPal account has been set up for those wishing to donate to the family directly. The PayPal account may be accessed here: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/sendmoneyonline Send to 903.818.8523 or [email protected] Alternatively you may donate directly to The Arabian Horsemans Distress Fund at http://www.horsemensdistressfund.com and email Mary Trowbridge that the funds are earmarked for the Wind Crystal Arabian Herd/Dan Golike. The remaining horses listed below are to be dispersed. All horses have registration papers with any exceptions noted. All horses sold as geldings will have papers held until proof of castration. A suggested sales price is listed but offers above or below are encouraged to Lincoln Golike at [email protected]. Final determination will be based upon a combination of buyers offer and a good home, with a good home being paramount. The horses are being sold on an “AS IS” basis with no implied or express warranties. Many of the horses are in less than average condition and will require extra care and attention. The Seller retains the right to refuse a sale to any person for any reason. References will be checked (your veterinarian is a good reference) to ensure these horses are going to loving homes. Offers and Viewing: Due to the immediate need for horse relocation, the farm will be open on Saturday Jan. 24th from 10 am to 5pm and Sunday Jan. 25th from 1pm to 5pm, for sales and pickup. If you would like to submit an offer via email, please do so by Friday Jan. 26th at 7pm, to complete the buyer screening process. Include your phone number and a personal reference phone number. Please understand due to the low pricing, Lincoln prefers to have buyer/home approval completed prior to releasing the horse from the farm to ensure the offers are from legitimate buyers and not wholesale horse brokers.
