SWAMP JUICE Bunk Puppets

*transaction fees may apply

Saturday 11 April, 7.30pm

A family friendly shadow puppet comedy about one man’s romp through a swamp.

After enchanting us with Sticks Stones Broken Bones in 2013, acclaimed performer Jeff Achtem (Bunk Puppets) returns with Swamp Juice. Using bits of rubbish and household items, Jeff creates intricate and funny stories using shadow puppetry.

Then, in a gripping DIY finale, you will be handed a pair of 3D glasses and the chase moves into 3D shadow puppetry! Swamp Juice will be a totally unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Swamp Juice is a unique blend of comedy and shadow puppetry – an extremely creative and uplifting show with a slightly offbeat but endearing entertainer.

“The most surprisingly enchanting, funny and uplifting show I have ever seen.” Glasshouse patron after Sticks Stones Broken Bones in 2013

THE ONE DAY OF THE YEAR by Alan Seymour

*transaction fees may apply

Saturday 18 April, 8pm Tuesday 21 April, 11am

“It’s Anzac Day this week, that’s my day, that’s the old Diggers’ day.”

What is the meaning of Anzac Day? For war veterans like Alf Cook and his friend Wacka Dawson, it’s the chance to commemorate history, celebrate heroism and conjure national pride. For Alf’s son Hughie, Anzac Day flies the flag for a very different reality, one that brings the dignity of our Diggers to its knees and into the gutter – via one too many down the pub.

On the 100 year anniversary of the Gallipoli landing, HIT Productions brings a thoroughly fresh take on a true Australian classic.

“...a compelling piece of theatre and one which no young Australian should miss.” The Australian

BLUE LOVESunday 17 May, 2pm

“Stunning”... “Brilliant”... “Hysterical entertainment”...

In this wildly entertaining expedition Glenn and Rhonda Flune take the audience on an expedition in search of the perfect relationship.

Blue Love is a poetic and satirical take on the clichés of pop culture, romance, coupledom and suburbia where TV soap meets arthouse film, 60s kitsch meets medieval love song, and pop culture cliché meets breathtaking poignancy.

Parodying the lip-service given to love and its incarnations, this quirky, character-based work is a multi-media, physical theatre comedy: accessible, challenging and enormously entertaining.

Blue Love was devised and choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Shaun Parker, who also starred as a tango dancer in Moulin Rouge. Performer Lucia Mastrantone has appeared on the TV series Tangle and feature film Look Both Ways.
