*We go to library 1 day a week

Much of our instruction time is

taught within small groups depending on your child’s needs.

Classroom Expectations

1. Walk with your “Panther Pride” in the hall. 2. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

3. Be kind and include all students. 4. Be a good listener. 5. Follow directions.

Field Trips

We go on two Field Trips in

Kindergarten, both of them in the

Spring.

In April, we go to the Oil Ranch and

in May we go swimming at the

Southwood Hallaran Pool.

What can you do to get your child

ready for Kindergarten??

1. Practice writing your first and last name.

2. Learn to tie your shoes!!!!

3. Practice your ABC’s and 123’s!

Example: Practice your letters while in the car by asking what letters objects start with!

(McDonald’s begins with “M” and say the sound!)

The most important thing you can do for your child is READ with them!

When do we get to meet our child’s teacher?

What do we do about making sure our child has lunch money?

•Pay online by visiting www.csisd.org

•Put cash/check in envelope with child’s name and lunch # in your child’s daily folder or pin it to their shirt.

•Apply for free/reduced lunch BEFORE the first day of school.

Will my child have snack at school?

YES!!! Kindergarteners will eat their snack in the morning before

CAMP. A snack is to be brought to school each day by the child. They will not be

provided by the teachers.

What supplies does my child need for the school year?

Check out the CSISD school supply list. (crayons, pencils,

glue, construction paper, folders, etc…)

Can I volunteer in my child’s class?

Yes!

We love for parents to help out in our classrooms! We have plenty

of projects to do inside and outside of the room! Each

classroom is in need of a room parent (mom or dad) to help with

special events!

Will my child take a nap in Kindergarten?

No We no longer have rest time in Kindergarten. In order to accomplish everything each

day, no time is allotted for rest.

Please make sure your child gets a good nights sleep.

What is Kids Klub? Kids Klub is an after school

program located on our campus.

What else do I need to know? •Please have a daily change of clothes in your child’s backpack in case of an accident.

•Send your child to school in clothes that he/she can button themselves.
