Qmplete silence!Whilst collating all these reports, I also received somereports concerning bright lights flying in formation andhovering over Bridgewater and Bishops Lydiard between 9pm and10pm on the evening of 30th March 1993. I also received onereport, again from a police officer, who was off duty and withsome Scouts u l ? on the Quantock Hills at about 9pm on the 30th.He reports seeing a large object flying in from the north,fairly low and said i t resembled two concord aircraft fixedtogether and covered in a number of white bright lights.Obviously this could not have been two Concords but its not abad description in comparison with the Elvers description at2am i . e . a large Catamaran.

Since these reports I have received three more, only these havecome from St Ives, Cornwall. again two very bright lights arereported flying parallel to e a ~ h other and very high in thesky. This is some twenty minutes later than the earliersightings on the 31st and indicat es that the obje cts or ob jec tswere seen OVer the West Country and Wales, on at least threeseparate occasions i . e . 1.10am, 1.30am and 2am.F e o r n the general description given, it would appear that theobject seen was about 500 in width, carrying two very brightlight sources at i ts outer edges with a number of smallerlights surrounding i ts main body. It left a tail of light,something like a vapour trail, only illuminated or li t up.

T h . e y litthen ascended at great speed to about 10,OO(}andthen\alteredcourse taking a southerly course over the E r i g l i s h Channel.If the information contained in the letter from the MoD isc o r r ~ c t , then the object or objects were later seen over ornear Bris tol, Avon , at appro x 1.15am heading south,eas.t fly!Also, if the MoD information is correct, similar objects wereseen b etw een9 . 1 0pm on the 30th ~ a r c h 1993 and2~4Q m on the31st covering area fr m Cornwall to South Yorkshire! The /implication of this being that some 4 hours.before the r e - e n t r yan unknown object or objects were flying a . t;osstheWestcountry up into Avon and on to South Yorkshire.with thelast known sighting over Shropshire at 2.40 fu.lt alsoindicates that the objects appeared to be crisscrossing these ~areas during this period.
