I hope all you katz that hit the roads had a safe journey. I had to drive up to Durban for some business and man was the timing bad. Not only was it the beginning of the school holidays, the current road works turn any trip beyond Bloemfontein into a real test of patience. The extensive road works on the roads heading to both Johannesburg as well as Durban ads a considerable time to the journey as traffic is routed to a single lane for long stretches at a time. I have not been to Durban for a long time but it seems that they now grow Tollgates as well as Bananas. I was in the Durban area for one and a half days and had to travel through 12 Tollgates, 12! I am most certainly glad to be back in Cape town where we only have the one Tollgate, which you can chose to skip by using the pass. For those that have to go to Worcester on a regular basis I sympathise with you, but I am telling you it is better than in Durban.
