Also through Facts on File is access to the Science Online collection with a wealth of content and dynamic design that facilitates STEM research and learning with a comprehensive overview of a broad range of scientific disciplines.

It includes research tools for advanced searching, book marking, highlighting in six colors, note taking, and automatic citation and bibliography generation. The American Heritage Dictionary, a thesaurus, and a World Encyclopedia are also included.

GradeCam

Description: GradeCam allows classroom teachers to scan and grade multiple-choice tests and other assignments instantly to capture student responses. GradeCam also enables teachers to look at item analysis and use their time more efficiently to plan for data-informed instruction. Students are able to practice taking assessments on a multiple-choice answer sheet (also known as a Scantron or bubbling). **New by teacher request and coming soon for 2019-2020.

Mystery Science

Description: NewsELA is a database of current events specially designed for classroom use. All articles are indexed by theme and are accessible to students in a variety of reading levels. Newsela can be used to differentiate instruction for students on a variety of content specific topics as well as literacy skills such as constructed responses and vocabulary.

Description: Pebble Go is a database for reading and research. Databases are simple to navigate and offer key reading supports such as read-along audio and word-by-word highlighting. This database is specifically designed for younger audiences. Midlakes has purchased animals, biographies, science, and social studies in both English and Spanish.

STAR Reading and STAR Math are assessment tools utilized by our 7th and 8th grade teams to show growth and find opportunities for improvement.
