What that says.

By: me.

Page 2: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

I just put that picture of my most-despised townie there to make the cover look… erm... pretty. (Or acceptable at least.) The real purpose of this first slide is to recap the last chapter! I think we need it by now. Heck, even I need it. :)

By the way that townie’s name is Graeme, he’s a garden club sim, I think, and I hate him. He’s a loser.

So, last chapter, Quartz broke up with his teenhood girlfriend, Lina, and found love in the mail carrier Dagmar Bertino. Aerie moved out and is now living with her cousin Willow. We just found out that she’s pregnant. Coral moved out, too, and hopes to rise up in the business world. And finally our heir, Rowena, got married to Clare’s good friend Clarence and they had a baby daughter, Egypt.

Well that’s that then. Let’s get on with the new stuff.

Page 3: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Quartz is going to be so mad…” Aerie mumbled as her cousin marveled over her swollen belly.“Why, that you’re pregnant? I don’t think he’d be—”“No, no… that I don’t know who’s the father.”

Page 4: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Ohhh… you don’t?” Willow, eyes wide, looked sympathetic. “How could I? It could have been any one of those guys, at any

one of those parties!” replied Aerie, sounding slightly panicked.

“Yeah, you’re right. Well, you’re going to keep the baby, right? Please keep the baby.”

“I don’t suppose there’s any other way out. I just wish I’d done this on purpose, you know?”

Page 5: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Willow, in the meantime, helped out in any way she could.

She wasn’t so good at it.

Page 6: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Meanwhile Aerie had to grit her teeth and tell Quartz sooner than she’d expected.

“You’re pregnant?” Quartz asked somewhat shortly. He’d been walking by.

“Yes,” Aerie replied defensively.Quartz nodded, giving Aerie a tight grin. “Who’s the father?”

Page 7: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Er…” Aerie couldn’t immediately bring herself to tell him. She grimaced. “I… I don’t know,” she admitted, looking at the ground.

Quartz said nothing, and Aerie permitted herself to peek up at him. He wore a stony expression on his face.

Page 8: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Well, does that offend you, or something?” she asked, firing up.

“No! Of course it doesn’t! It doesn’t exasperate or– or infuriate me at all that my little sister is totally throwing her life away. Nope! It doesn’t offend me whatsoever.”

Page 9: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Oh, that is it! Aerie thought.“Why do you care, anyway,” she spat at him with as much

venom as she could muster.“You’re right!” Quartz said, mock comprehension dawning

on his face! “I have nothing more to say to you.” “You’re a filthy little hypocrite,” Aerie hissed at him as he

left. Quartz pretended not to hear, but the comment still stung him.

Page 10: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Eventually Aerie gave birth, of all things, to twin girls called Flick (left) and Peridot (right). It was a bit much for a full-time working single mother, so Willow helped look after them.

Page 11: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Willow’s boyfriend Waylon, in turn, moved in to help take care of Willow.

He and Aerie did not get along.

Page 12: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Back at the Main Legacy Lot:Adam was reading the newspaper, his spiky grey hair sticking

out the top. “Ah… the gossip section!” he chuckled. The gossip section of the newspaper was his secret indulgence; he only dared to look when no-one was around, such as on this particular morning.

But what he read shocked him: “Clarence DeBateau, recently Spiff, has been rumored to engage in romantic activity with his mother-in-law, Clare…”

Page 13: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Adam acted quite cold and distant with Clare over the next few days.

He didn’t want to talk to her, he rejected her kisses…

Page 14: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

…And woohoo? Absolutely not.

Page 15: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Finally Clare couldn’t take much more, and she confronted her husband.

“What’s your deal, Adam? We’ve been married for thirty-seven years! Why pick now to be all cold and distant?”

Adam glared. “A better question would be: Why am I sticking around when you’re cheating on me with your daughter’s husband?”

Page 16: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Clare gaped. “You must be out of your mind! Surely you know by now that I wouldn’t cheat on you with anyone, especially not him. We’re just friends and I’ve never felt that way about him. Really. What’s got into you?”

Adam sighed. She did sound sincere. “It was just the… er… gossip column. In the paper. It said—”

Page 17: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“You believed the gossip column? Why were you even reading that junk in the first place?”

“Er…”“Really, of all the ridiculous– well, I suppose it doesn’t matter. It was all

a misunderstanding. But we should probably talk to Clarence and make sure he really is faithful to Rowena, don’t you think?”

“Um… wouldn’t that be a bit interfer—”“Nonsense! Sit down and I’ll fetch him.”

Page 18: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Listen, Clarence, Adam and I have been a bit concerned over an article we saw in the newspaper.”

Adam cleared his throat self-consciously.“It insinuated that you were cheating on Rowena with… well, with

me. Now I know that was a lie,” she said quickly as Clarence opened his mouth, looking outraged, “But we just wanted to rule out the possibility of you being unfaithful to my daughter…”

Clarence shook his head, incredulous.

Page 19: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“First off, no, I am not cheating on my wife– why would I do that? Secondly, Adam, I am not interested in Clare like that. And really… I just wish…” he was surprised to feel himself tearing up. “I just wish people would see past my exterior and not judge me like this! I am capable of love. I do love my family, beyond anything! Why can’t people see that?”

Clare bit her lip. “Well I suppose that settles it,” she said softly, and she and Adam left Clarence alone. He looked like he needed it.

Page 20: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Clarence really did adore Egypt. Rowena did too– but then again, she was always the motherly type.

That makes me feel like this picture is necessary… Ro’s all grown up now. *sniffle*

Page 21: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Meanwhile Quartz and Dagmar, being a low-key sort of couple, got married in the living room, wearing their regular clothes; no ceremony whatsoever. They preferred it that way.

Page 22: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Soon afterwards Dagmar gave birth....

(I didn’t take any photos of her pregnant, sorry. But she was.)

Page 23: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

....To a baby boy! He is called Beaux, which, if you didn’t know, is pronounced Bo. Not, like, Bee-oox or something.

Page 24: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

There was a small celebration for baby Egypt’s birthday; her dad was at work, but her mum was there.

Back @ Main Legacy Lot...

Page 25: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

*POOF*

“Egypt wanna hug!”

Page 26: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Aww. Mummy’ll give you a hug, Egypt.”

I like her already.

Page 27: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

I had to put this hairstyle on some toddler or another. I just had to. And is there any cuter interaction than Peek-a-boo?

I could watch her all day.

Page 28: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Beaux grew up, too. He had a slightly bigger celebration, which Aerie was conspicuously missing from.

I know he looks a bit weird, but he’s cute, really.

Page 29: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Hey, Dagmar—”“It’s ok. He’s sleeping.” Dagmar’s voice had an edge.“Is something wrong?”“Yes, Quartz. Why wasn’t Aerie at the party tonight?”

Page 30: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Uh... Aerie and I have been having some, er... disagreements lately,” Quartz mumbled.

“Still?” Dagmar frowned, exasperated. “You have got to get over this ridiculous little tiff with her. She’s allowed to have her own life, you know.”

“I know... I know.”

Page 31: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Promise me you’ll apologise to her.”Quartz sighed. “She’s my friend and I don’t like your attitude towards her. For heaven’s

sake, she’s your sister! You’re going to promise you’ll stop treating her like that, or—”

“Okay! I promise I’ll make up to her,” Quartz said hastily. “I suppose you’re right– it is about time.”

Page 32: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

He was about to kiss his wife goodnight, but she pretended not to notice and went downstairs.

Page 33: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Meanwhile at Aerie’s house, Willow was talking about moving out soon. “Really? Well, I’ll miss you, of course,” Aerie told her cousin, lowering

her voice, “But I can’t say the same for that boyfriend of yours.”“Why?” Willow frowned.“He’s always arguing with me! I can’t stand him.”“You can’t stand a lot of people.”“I suppose that’s true. At least you know I’ll never steal him from you.”

Page 34: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Aw... Give me a hug!”They laughed. “I’ll miss you and your evil romancing ways!”“And I’ll miss you helping me out with Peri and Flick!”

Page 35: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

It was, of course, impossible for a working mum to look after the twins 24/7 on top of everything. She had to get a nanny.

It always gives me a case of the twitchy eye to see those stupid old people carelessly handling my (simself’s daughter’s) children!

Page 36: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Unfortunately the twins’ birthdays coincided with the time their mother was at work. Grrr. The stupid granny nanny had to do it.

This is Peri, anyway, who I already love. She looks kind of exotic! And she’s only a toddler.

Peridot is the birthstone of August– my birthstone– and they’re green like her eyes!

I didn’t notice that her name matched her eyes until my sister pointed it out.

Page 37: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

And this is Flick who doesn’t have the exotic eyes but who you cannot deny is extremely cute. She takes after her mother.

Does this photo not break your heart and make you want to hug her at the same time? Because that’s what it does to me.

Page 38: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

The twins were cute, of course, but they probably weren’t living in the ideal environment for kids their age. Aerie, normally an extreme neat freak, was so busy she hardly had time to clean up.

Page 39: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

It was in this state that Quartz saw the house. “Hey, Aerie,” he said shyly as she stared at him in

shock, greeting her with a smile warmer than any he’d given her in a long time. “Would it be okay if I met your children?”

Page 40: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“...So this is Peridot... and that’s Flick,” Aerie motioned to the little girl attempting to climb into an armchair.

“They’re both very pretty... and grown up,” Quartz still sounded shy. “Are you coping with looking after them all alone?”

“Some help would be nice, but I’m—”“I can help!” Quartz blurted out.

Page 41: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“I thought you were mad at me?” Aerie folded her arms. “I was– but does this really need to be explained? We’re

family, and I think that we should make up. Before this gets too out-of-control.”

“Before we kill each other.”“Exactly! I mean... What would happen if we never got over

this little fight?”

Page 42: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

*In Quartz & Aerie’s imagination...*

Page 43: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“How dare you hit me with your walking stick!”“Hehehe. It was fun.”“Well I’ll hit you!!!” *clobbers*“Why you little... hypocrite!” *clobbers back*

Page 44: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“GRRRRR!”“ARRRGGGHHH!”“PIRATE!!!”

*Various other fight noises*

Page 45: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Hmmm... No, I’m not sure that would be good at all,” Quartz snickered.“I don’t know... I’d quite like a walking stick!”“What?”“Never mind... Give me a hug, and let’s end this. You’re right, it was

stupid.”“And we were both sort of hypocrites.”Then they hugged, and chatted the rest of the evening. Quartz spent a

lot of time playing with Flick and Peridot, and Aerie enthused about meeting Beaux for the first time. :)

POP!

Page 46: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Well, Aerie and I finally made up.”“About time!”“And I feel... Glad that we’ve made up. She didn’t deserve my

slamming her all the time. She’s only human... Just like me.”“You’ve done the right thing, Quartz. And... I’m proud of you for it, even

if you did take much longer than you should’ve.”They smiled at each other. “I think Beaux needs a sister,” Quartz said

suddenly...

Page 47: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Omg. Think this is Quartz? It isn’t! It’s a townie that just walked by! Same eyes, same hair, pretty darn similar skintone... (and quite a dashing outfit...)

...Gahhh!

Page 48: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Finally it was time for Egypt’s birthday...She’s clearly a daughter of Rowena; she has many

of the same features.

Page 49: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Not bad!”

And, yes, she’s cute.

Page 50: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Beaux grew up, too. With such adorable parents, I can’t see how he could not have been cute... Though he does have a tendency to wear lots of pink.

Page 51: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

See? Preggers. :)

Soon after these birthdays, Rowena gave birth again. Wait... I didn’t tell you she was even pregnant, did I? How rude of me. Well, she is.

Page 52: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Not for long. This is baby Boots (a boy) who has Daddy’s skin and hair, and Mummy’s eyes. (Curse those dominant genetics!)

“Hey, who’s this little critter?”“My new son, Mum. Who do you think?”“You were pregnant?”Such a good Mummy, I am. Why, I deserve some sort of award... ...The next day, there was a knock at the door...

Page 53: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Um, hi?” Rowena was taken aback by the man’s deranged appearance.

“Hello, Aerie.” The stranger leered. “I am the Joe-ker. Remember me?”

“Ohh, you’re Joe Carr? Nice to—”“Not Joe Carr, you silly girl, the Joe-ker.” He became angry.

Rowena noticed several teeth knocked out. “Anyway, Aerie...”

Page 54: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Oh, sir, you must be mistaken. I’m not Aerie,” Rowena said quickly, remaining pleasant.

“Taking on fake identities now, are we Aerie darling?” Joe purred. His eye twitched.

“No, she’s my sister! I’m Rowena, the heir, not Aerie.”

Page 55: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Only my Aerie could have possibly become heir,” Joe continued smoothly with a nasty laugh. Rowena began to feel uncomfortable. She didn’t like where this was heading.

Page 56: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Who are you, anyway?”“I am someone who loves you very much, Aerie

my dear, very, very much. I know you remember me.” He loomed in close; Rowena could smell his putrid breath.

Page 57: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

She backed off, disgusted. “How many times do I have to tell you, I’m not Aerie!” she was losing her cool. “Uh... Aerie... um... died. Of a broken heart. Because, um, her husband... walked out on her. Yeah.”

“Don’t be silly...”

Page 58: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

.......

Page 59: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Ugh! Get off me, you freak!” Rowena gasped, breaking apart from the delinquent man with as much force as she could muster. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” She was panicking. “Clarence! Clarence, help me! This man is molesting me!”

Page 60: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

He took offence. A fight ensued.Rowena could barely watch. Any minute and her husband could be

hurt– badly.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing with my wife?” Clarence (who’d rushed outside as fast as he could at Rowena’s call) growled, shoving Joe.

Page 61: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Did somebody call Sergeant Dorian?”

Page 62: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Clarence received no injuries. He was quite proud of himself, really. Because of him, and of Rowena’s quick thinking, Joe was in jail and wouldn’t bother them for a long, long time.

...But do you really think a little thing like jail would stop the Joe-ker from getting what he wanted?

Page 63: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Meanwhile...At long, long last Aerie’s kids grew up. She’d had a

really tough time looking after them as toddlers. At least now they can bathe themselves– so Aerie can sleep once in a while!

Page 64: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Aren’t they sweet together? In case you have forgotten, that’s Flick on the left

and Peridot on the right.(I love how when sim kids hug there’s the smoosher and the

smooshee.)

Page 65: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

And at Dagmar and Quartz’s place...“Oh, I see you’ve noticed the new clothes I bought you. That

looks much better than the old ones, Beaux. I have a photo of your father wearing something just like that.”

“I liked the old ones! I don’t like this. I look like one of those smelly truck drivers who always swear at you.”

Dagmar was taken aback. “Well,” she said, “Why don’t you try...”

Page 66: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“...This?”“Eh. I guess it’s okay. But why couldn’t I wear my old shirt with the flower on it?”“You mean, you liked the flower?”“Yes! It made me pretty.”Dagmar opened her mouth, and shut it. This was unexpected. “Let’s just go with this for the time being, Mmkay?”

Page 67: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Turns out Beaux was a bit of a musical prodigy– it made Quartz proud. He’d never been too good at the piano.

Page 68: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Then one day Quartz and Dagmar were... relaxing on the couch (and catching up with each other from the time they’d spent not talking to each other) when all of a sudden...

Page 69: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5
Page 70: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Oh, look, a beautiful baby girl! Thanks for helping, Quartz.” *dripping sarcasm*.

“Glad I could be of assistance!”“Let’s call her Fern. Now go and tell Beaux!”

Page 71: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Well, we’re back at the Main Legacy Lot for a spot of drama in the form of an ugly headmaster. These two pictures sum up how it went.

And you think one fire is bad enough? Ho ho ho, you make me laugh. 3. FIRES. In ONE NIGHT. And who was cooking? Oh, my 10-cooking-point simself, of course!

*grizzles*(We got in.)

Page 72: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Well it’s time for another partay. All went well. No fires to speak of. *is still grizzling*

Hey that first photo reminds me that I had my 14th birthday kind of recently and, for the first time in recordable history, I blew out all the all the candles with one breath! =Dcandles with one breath! =D

*is proud**is proud*Now back to the story.

Page 73: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Meanwhile, Egypt met her cousin Beaux for the first time. She decided she liked him, because he didn’t mind playing Mary Mack with her, or even with the dolls house. Most boys at school considered that sort of thing too girly and silly.

Oh well, boys are stupid anyway, was what she told herself.

Page 74: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

This is what little Boots looks like after his makeover– cute!

I just can’t get over the name Boots. I love it too much and I keep shouting it out randomly.

Page 75: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“So, Egypt, how was Private School? Any better than your old school?”

“No. They made us stay inside for lunch because it was too hot outside. We live in a desert, what do they expect? And the cafeteria food is yucky.”

Page 76: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

“Oh, that’s too bad. It took a lot of effort to get you into Private school...”

I still haven’t gotten over it, Clare! Don’t push your luck!!“Well, there are only two schools in Dyspaire, Egypt, and it

really isn’t a big town to begin with. Don’t set your expectations too high.

“Well then I wish I lived in a place with better schools and stuff...”

Page 77: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

This is what Boots spent most of his toddlerhood doing.

Well, pointless remarks keep emerging... I think it is time for the END of another CHAPTER!

Page 78: The Spifftastic Legacy Chapter 5

Ooh, random picture! It is time to end the chapter! Hooray, I was right!Well, guys, I hope you enjoyed this chapter—I know it wasn’t the

longest, but please leave a comment anyway if you wish to make my day.

School started today, anyway– it’s already a nightmare. I tried to hurry this chapter a bit so it wouldn’t get caught up in back-to-school confusion, but just letting you know that updates might not be so frequent for the time being. For now, goodbye and happy simming!
