The Opus LegacyChapter 5: Beginning of Forever

Written by: ilovereecee/KatieHello and thank you for coming back to read the fifth chapter of the Opus legacy. In the last chapter I had the family for the first time and enjoyed playing them as the second generation went off to college. Sebell was named the heir and had a few fears about carrying on the legacy. Robinton and his high school sweetheart Ginger got married and welcomed three children into their family. Sallah got engaged to her college boyfriend Garrett. Sebell and Nerilka started college while F’lar and Ramoth stayed at home with their parents Gil, Yuki and the pets Diver, Kimi and puppy Maybelle. This chapter will be told from the points of view of many of the kids – so I’ll let them take over starting with the heir Sebell… Enjoy!!! :)

Page 3: The opus legacy chapter 5

Back at home in Desiderata Valley my parents Gilgamesh and Yuki Opus are advancing in their desired careers. My father is now a roadie – it’s not exactly what you’d call high up, but at least he gets to travel around. While my father is following his favorite band, my mother has been promoted from a hostess to a waitress. I know she doesn’t like waiting on people and would much rather be making the food instead of serving it.

Page 4: The opus legacy chapter 5

Diver and Kimi, the family dogs, are doing a great job of taking care of their new puppy Maybelle. So far Maybelle is proving to be an extremely well behaved girl! She gets along with her parents, never chews on the furniture or destroys things – now only if she could learn that while the front porch is technically “outside” it’s not where she should pee.

Page 5: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Mom, Dad, Ramoth and I think it’s time we head off to college. We’re old enough now, our grades are as good as they can be and we’re ready!” F’lar, my youngest brother, broke the news to my parents that he and his twin sister Ramoth are ready to move in with the rest of us at Sim State University. It makes me feel bad that Mom and Dad will be left with an empty nest, but excited for the twins.

Page 6: The opus legacy chapter 5

F’lar and Ramoth, my youngest siblings, have decided to leave our family home and start their lives with the rest of us at Sim State University. I’m excited that all six of us from the second generation of my family’s legacy decided to further our education by getting a degree from a top notch university. It’s been pretty cool living in the same house too – definitely an easy transition.

Page 7: The opus legacy chapter 5

Right after F’lar and Ramoth left for college, Maybelle grew up into a happy, healthy adult sized dog. She looks a lot like Kimi, but with Diver’s coat colors.

Page 8: The opus legacy chapter 5

My parents don’t have their hands full raising kids anymore, but they still keep busy. Working towards their lifetime wants keeps their schedules full. My father has been promoted again – he now gets to stay at home and work as a studio musician. Mom finally gets to prepare the food in her restaurant as a prep cook.

Page 9: The opus legacy chapter 5

In our college home at Sim State University, Sallah is finishing up her very last semester of college. She is also busy planning a wedding to her fiancé Garrett Santanander.

Page 10: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Do you want a big wedding or a small wedding, Garrett?” Sallah seems to only talk about their upcoming wedding these days.“Whatever you want, babe.”“Well do you think we should go ahead and book a church or do you want a backyard wedding like Robinton and Ginger?

Page 11: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I guess a church?” Garrett obviously wasn’t too good at wedding planning.“You think so, really? Backyard weddings are so quaint and cute!”“Okay, backyard then. Whatever makes you happy, Sal. You know all I care about is that I come down some kind of aisle to marry my beautiful blonde bride.”

Page 12: The opus legacy chapter 5

While Sallah and Garrett are knee deep in wedding plans, I’m getting closer and closer to achieving my first lifetime want – to max all my skills. In addition to that, I’m seeing this wonderful girl named Andrea Gunderson. She’s beautiful, smart, athletic and goal oriented. I can’t believe I’m luck enough to be with her. Every time I see her, I think how great she is.

Page 13: The opus legacy chapter 5

I really can’t believe how blessed I am in my relationship with Andrea. She is perfect in every way possible. Before I moved to college I was nervous that I wouldn’t be a good heir for my family legacy and that I would be able to find a good spouse as my father did before me. All those fears are completely wiped away when I look at Andrea. In fact, I think it’s safe to say I’m in love.

Page 14: The opus legacy chapter 5

My twin sister Nerilka, Neri for short, has been very studious ever since we started college. We’re now juniors and she still has great study habits – it’s pretty impressive. I just hope that she won’t let all this studying get in the way of finding a great guy to start a family with eventually.

Page 15: The opus legacy chapter 5

Neri was out shopping for new clothes downtown one day when she ran into Toby Turner. She noticed him hanging out in the kitchen area by himself. Despite his terrible mix of shorts and a long-sleeved plaid shirt, Neri was attracted to him immediately.

Page 16: The opus legacy chapter 5

“So do you live downtown too?” Toby asked.“No, I’m actually a junior at SSU. I live there with my siblings. This is actually my first visit downtown. It’s quite a change of pace.”“Well, if you ever need a tour guide,” Toby said as he pulled out a card, “just give me a call. Here’s my number.”

Page 17: The opus legacy chapter 5

F’lar and Ramoth are enjoying their time in college so far. I’m proud that they are taking the initiative to study right off the bat. I was a little worried about Ramoth – since she’s a romance aspiration – letting loose once she moved in, but so far so good!

Page 18: The opus legacy chapter 5

Well, looks like I may have spoken too soon. Ramoth has found the easy way to keep her grades up in class – by romancing the professor!

Page 19: The opus legacy chapter 5

My oldest brother Robinton and his wife Ginger moved out of the house once they graduated last semester. They now live back at home in their dream house with their three kids Peter, Prissy and Pauline. The good thing about this is that I no longer have to share a room with my twin sister Nerilka. I get my own room for the first time ever!

Page 20: The opus legacy chapter 5

The day that I achieved my first lifetime want was a very happy one. If I had any fears left at all about being a good heir, they were wiped away now! I can’t believe I haven’t even graduated college yet and I’ve already achieved a lifetime want. My second want is to become a captain hero and keep Desiderata Valley safe for my future wife and kids.

Page 21: The opus legacy chapter 5

Sallah graduated not too long after I completed my lifetime want. She didn’t even wait to say goodbye to the rest of us, but called a cab and headed back home. I can’t blame her – I would be ready to leave too if I knew Andrea was waiting to marry me and start a life together.

Page 22: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I’m so glad you and Ramoth decided to start college. You guys are doing great with the work so far and you seem to be having fun.”“Yeah, I am. It’s great so far. I’m glad to finally be able to meet Andrea too. Mom and Dad say they think she’s going to be the one for you!”

Page 23: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Oh, do they?” I laughed, “I think she is the one. In fact, lately I can’t shake the thought that the time is right to get engaged. I’ve been wanting it for a while now and it’s all I can think about!”“Sebell, that’s totally a sign. Go with your instinct and propose to the girl already. I’m happy for you, bro.”

Page 24: The opus legacy chapter 5

“You’re so beautiful, Ramoth. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I got you in my class last semester. And how happy I am that you decided to take me again this semester! I- I think I love you, sweetie.”

“Does that mean you’re going to boost my grade a little? You know I’m only a few points away from that A I need to help my GPA.” Things are getting awkward for Ramoth now that her professor has professed his love. The poor sap, he has no clue my baby sister is using him.

Page 25: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I’m glad you called, Nerilka. I’ll admit, I didn’t think you would.”“Why is that?”“Well, you’re so beautiful, and smart too obviously. I didn’t think you’d be interested in someone as plain as me.” Toby’s confession made Nerilka blush. My sister wasn’t used to attention from guys.

Page 26: The opus legacy chapter 5

Nerilka was glad she’d agreed to a dinner date with Toby. She called him up out of the blue and wasn’t even sure he would remember her. But he certainly did and he and my twin sister had a great first date together. She said he was a complete gentleman the entire time. The attraction was definitely there too, which was a good thing. When they were saying goodbye, Toby shyly pulled Nerilka in for her very first kiss. Then immediately requested a second date soon!

Page 27: The opus legacy chapter 5

“So you don’t think my being a maid is lame?” Alon, our maid asked Ramoth one morning. “Or…unimportant?”“Oh, not at all, Al.” Ramoth was piling on the charm. “Can I call you Al?” Alon blushed and nodded silently. It wasn’t long after their first flirt that Ramoth had Alon in bed with her. I know my sister is excited about having freedom, but I think she’s going a little overboard. I need to have a chat with her soon!

Page 28: The opus legacy chapter 5

Before I set Ramoth straight, I have my own matters to attend to first. “Andrea, I didn’t want to memorize a long corny speech about how much I love you in order to propose to you. You know I feel we are meant to be together forever. You make me happier than I have ever been before.”“Oh my gosh, Seb!”

Page 29: The opus legacy chapter 5

“If you’ll let me, I want to spend the rest of my life trying to make you at least half as happy as you’ve made me in this past year.” I pulled out the sparkling diamond ring and placed it on her finger. “Will you marry me?” I watched as Andrea admired her ring in the sunlight as tears started rolling down her cheeks.

Page 30: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Of course I will, of course. I love you too, Seb. More than you know!” Andrea gushed as she jumped into my arms. All the nervousness I felt about being an heir before vanished as I made Andrea my fiancée. With her by my side I know that anything is possible.

While all these exciting things have been happening for me and my siblings at SSU, major changes are going on at home! I’ll let Rob and Sallah tell you all about that though. Andrea and I have some celebrating to do ;)

Page 31: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Oh Sallah,” my mom said to me over a game of chess, “I’m so glad you decided to move back home. It makes your father and I so happy to have you in the house again. It’s been so quiet since F’lar and Ramoth left.”“I can imagine! Mom, I have some exciting news! Before I left school I talked with my marketing professor and he got me an interview for a CEO position of this new music store chain.”

Page 32: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Darling, that’s wonderful! When it is so your father and I can wish you luck.” Mom smiled.“Well, it sort of already happened. And I got the job! I couldn’t believe it. It’s a smaller chain of stores and the owner wants to expand quickly. Just having finished business school, he said he knows I will make a great CEO. It’s called Grandpa’s Guitars – a family store thing.”“I’m so proud of you, Sal. You’re going to do great. I have a surprise for you – like a homecoming gift. But you have to wait to see it.”

Page 33: The opus legacy chapter 5

Mom’s surprise was that she and Dad have picked out a bigger home in Desiderata Valley to move to. I can’t say that I was thrilled – this was my childhood home and I had anxiety about leaving it.

I didn’t get much time to express those feelings to Mom though, she has been working a lot lately. In fact, she got promoted to a sous chef, then pulled a double and got promoted again the same day to an executive chef after her boss saw her dedication to the restaurant.

Page 34: The opus legacy chapter 5

My Dad has also been pretty busy at work too. He has left the studio to become a concert pianist. It isn’t the route he would like to take in order to become a rock god, but his manager promised it was the right thing to do. With all my father’s piano skills, he is sure to move up in no time.

Page 35: The opus legacy chapter 5

“You’re so beautiful, Sal. I can’t wait to marry you.” Garrett sure can make me blush! My new job gives me weekends off, so I’m taking advantage of that to spend time with Garrett before we tie the knot. Part of Mom’s surprise is that she set up an altar at the new house and has been setting up for our big day.

Page 36: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I just don’t know how to tell Mom and Dad that I don’t want to move. I mean, I was born and raised here.” Thinking of leaving my childhood home gave me a slight headache.“Sweetie, you’re a grown woman now. Everyone has to leave their old homes eventually. This may be a great thing – don’t think about it so negatively.”I know Garrett’s right, I can’t be so down about the move; it’s just easier said than done.

Page 37: The opus legacy chapter 5

Both my father and mother had to work on the big moving day, which left Garrett and I to pack up the remaining things in the house. Mom and Dad both brought home promotions; dad to a conductor and mom to a restaurateur. They are both getting so close to achieving their lifetime wants. I’m so happy for them.

Page 38: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Dad, I was humiliated at work today. We had a meeting to introduce me to the rest of the office and there was this awful girl laughing and pointing at my beanie. I got pulled aside by some mail clerk and she said that if I wanted to be taken seriously here I have to ditch my hat.” I cried to my dad after work.“I’m sorry, Sal. You just have to do this if you want to advance in your new career though.”

“I’ve worn this hat since I was a toddler – I don’t want another thing gone from my childhood. I’ve already lost our old home.”

“Darling, you need to start thinking more positively. This could be a good change. You’re still going to be yourself no matter how much of your childhood is gone.”

Dad was right, I’m still myself. That night I took off my beanie and did myself up! It’s time to start thinking positive!

Page 39: The opus legacy chapter 5

Think positive and positive things will come! The next day I went into the office, without the beanie, as confident as I could. I nailed a speech about where Grandpa’s Guitars can improve from what I’d seen so far. I went over a graph tracking the potential progress of the stores, where we can build more and some great cost cutters. I was promoted that afternoon. I’m now a business tycoon!

Page 40: The opus legacy chapter 5

The same night I was promoted to a business tycoon, my father Gilgamesh finally earned his final promotion. Now he has achieved another lifetime want. He’s a rock god! It’s strange to think of my father as his alter rock ego – he still comes home a normal dad to help clean, take care of the dogs and have family time.

Page 41: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I promise to love you, honor and cherish you – in sickness and in health, ‘til death do us part.” As Garrett recited the vows and slipped a ring on my finger I couldn’t help but tearing up. Mom, Dad and for some reason, our maid attended my winter wonderland wedding. It was small, intimate and perfect. I’m so happy to be Mrs. Garrett Santander.

Page 42: The opus legacy chapter 5

Oh, I forgot to tell you! Kimi and Diver were expecting puppies again. I love our beloved pets and so I was thrilled when Kimi had three pups. Maybelle is now a big doggie sister to Dolly, a girl pup, and two boy dogs, Moses and Henry.

-----

Dolly is named after Dolly Merriweather. She is one of the old, prestigious names in Atlanta. She is old fashioned and tries to cling to the past after the war.

Moses is named after one of the Atlanta servants sent to dig trenches for the Civil War soldiers.

Henry is named after Scarlett’s uncle by marriage. He financially takes care of her, Melanie, Aunt PittyPat and Scarlett’s children while they are in Atlanta.

Page 43: The opus legacy chapter 5

Not too long after I reached the top of the business career as business tycoon, I found out that Garrett and I were going to be parents! I’m thrilled about the pregnancy – Garrett is excited too, although a little nervous about being a father so soon after we got married. I know he’ll do great though!

Page 44: The opus legacy chapter 5

While I love my job, it is a load of stress and while I’m pregnant I don’t need that. So I decided to take my full maternity leave and stay home while I was carrying my little one. I spent this time hanging out with my family and of course taking care of Dolly, Moses and Henry. They are a handful!

Page 45: The opus legacy chapter 5

Mom’s achieved her lifetime want to become a celebrity chef. Now I have two famous parents living under one roof. It’s pretty wild to think about. Now that Mom’s achieved her celebrity, she’s ready to trade in that life to help mold young minds in the education career. She wants to become an education minister next.

Page 46: The opus legacy chapter 5

By far the happiest day of my life was when I had my first child. Garrett and I welcomed a sweet baby boy into our family. We named him Beau.

-----Beau is the name of Melanie and Ashley Wilkes’ only child together. Melanie was told she shouldn’t have children, so Beau was an only child and loved by all.

Page 47: The opus legacy chapter 5

My baby boy Beau is such a joy to have in our family. Being a mother is absolutely the best feeling in the world. The whole family seems to revolve around my newborn son now. My father is thrilled to have a new grandchild – even though it is his fourth grandbaby. He loves being so involved in little Beau’s life.

Page 48: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Garrett and I have already started trying for another baby. You might be a granddaddy again soon!”

“I’m happy to hear that, Sallah. Have you guys started thinking about moving into your own home yet?”

“Oh, you wanna kick us out, huh Dad?” I joked.

Page 49: The opus legacy chapter 5

“That’s not it at all,” Dad explained, “I just want more for you than to be living in your parents home for the rest of your life. You and Garrett both have great jobs, it might be time to start your life together away from your mom and I.”Dad had a point – I can’t live with them forever. Besides, I’m not the heir. Sebell will be graduating soon and bringing Andrea home to start their lives together.

Page 50: The opus legacy chapter 5

The more I thought about what Dad had suggested to me over breakfast, the more I realized he was right. There seemed to be signs all over the house – like the fact that my mom seems to swoon over my father every time she sees him. It’s always odd to see your parents intimate moments. If Garrett and I had our own home, we would have more privacy and so would my parents.

Page 51: The opus legacy chapter 5

The puppies in the house are doing great! Despite the fact that there are more of them than there are of us to take care of them, it’s fun having them. The new puppies, Dolly, Moses and Henry are all doing well. Aside from a little accident in the house every now and then, they are potty trained and know to eat their puppy food. They get along with everyone in the family – sim and pet family.

Page 52: The opus legacy chapter 5

My little Beau is growing so quickly! I had just found out I was pregnant when he grew into a toddler. I’m not able to spend much time with him – I always seem to be tired these days – so Garrett teaches our son how to walk and talk.

Page 53: The opus legacy chapter 5

Dolly, Moses and Henry have grown too! They don’t look like puppies anymore – they are fully grown dogs now. Moses’ appearance is different from his doggie siblings. He has a lot of poofy fur – we figure maybe Diver or Kimi has a little chow in them somewhere. Henry has long fur and Kimi’s curly tail. Dolly looks exactly like Maybelle.

Page 54: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Right now, Gil? Garrett and Sal are watching a movie in the next room – they can hear us!”“Oh, they’ll be alright. Now come over here and give me some lovin’!”Age hasn’t phased my parents one bit. And hearing my mom “give my dad some lovin’” has only increased my thoughts of Garrett and I getting our own place.

Page 55: The opus legacy chapter 5

Beau is such an active little boy. Now that he knows how to walk – he’s always running around the house. He’s really taken to the pets too – specifically Maybelle. I can’t quite tell if she likes being the object of his affection, but he’s always cuddling with her and kissing her head. Beau is my sweet baby – I mean toddler!

Page 56: The opus legacy chapter 5

Just as Garrett and I were getting used to Beau being a toddler, our next baby came along. We had another little boy. We named him Wade.

-----Wade is the name of Scarlett’s only son in the novel. He comes from her first marriage to Melanie’s brother Charles Hamilton.

Page 57: The opus legacy chapter 5

I know that as a rock god my father has to keep up his physical appearance, but it worries me that he’s getting older and still demands of his body the same things he did as an adult. It makes me worry even more if something should happen to him after Garrett and I move out…

Page 58: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Dad, Garrett and I wanted to thank you for helping us get started on our own family. And also for making me realize that we’re ready to do it on our own. You and Mom have been more help than you know.” I thanked Dad before Garrett and I headed out into our own new home just a few blocks away. “I want you to take care of yourself and Mom while we’re gone. Okay?”

“Oh you don’t have to worry about us, dear. I hired a butler!”

“Seriously Dad? Don’t you think that’s going a little far?”

Page 59: The opus legacy chapter 5

Dad assured me that having a butler to help around the home was perfectly necessary. All his friends in music had one – so why shouldn’t he? It makes me worry that the butler is older than my dad though! He seems to be doing well enough, however. He takes on the job of the maid and gardener, plus helps out with meals. So far so good!

Page 60: The opus legacy chapter 5

When it was time to go, I hugged Mom and Dad and thanked them again for all of their help in the early years of my marriage to Garrett. Beau was having a hard time saying goodbye to the dogs – so as a parting gift, Mom gave Maybelle to my son so he would always have to love. While Garrett, Beau, Wade and now Maybelle and I get settled in our new home I’ll let Robinton tell you what he’s been up to lately.

Page 61: The opus legacy chapter 5

All of my children are doing great! My youngest child Pauline is growing everyday it seems. Ginger says I feed her too much and if I’m not careful she’s going to be a chunky toddler. I don’t think so, babies just need a lot of milk!

Page 62: The opus legacy chapter 5

I fed Prissy, our middle child, milk all the time and she turned out perfectly fine. Well, maybe it took affect on those cheeks of hers – she’s got the perfect pinch worthy cheeks! Prissy is growing so much and learning quickly too. She can now walk, talk and is potty trained.

Page 63: The opus legacy chapter 5

My oldest son Peter is now in school. I would love to get him into the same private school that I attended as a young boy, but Ginger says to wait until his siblings can go too. I’m so proud of how Peter is doing so far though – all A’s!

Page 64: The opus legacy chapter 5

I’m starting to learn that kids grow up very quickly! Prissy is now out of her toddler years and can play more with Peter. My son loves having a playmate – especially after school when Ginger and I have our hands full with Pauline and getting dinner ready.

Page 65: The opus legacy chapter 5

“No granny throws Prissy!”

“But I’m not as old as you. I can’t make the shot unless I do it like this.” Prissy and Peter make great playmates, but I also see a little bit of fighting in their future!

Page 66: The opus legacy chapter 5

Pauline has started walking now. Ginger has been using up the rest of her maternity leave in order to spend time with out youngest and to also study for another promotion. She’s so close to achieving her lifetime want – she’ll be an education minister in no time at all!

Page 67: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Say daddy. You can do it Pauline, say daddy!”“Da-da.”“That’s right! Good girl.” I was thrilled when Pauline’s first word was daddy – or da-da – she spends so much time with Ginger and so for her to say my name first was very exciting!

-----Now that we’re all caught up with Robinton and Sallah for now, we’ll head back to SSU to see what is going on with the rest of the gang.

Page 68: The opus legacy chapter 5

While Robinton and Sallah have been on their own family journey’s, back at SSU the rest of us have been carrying on with our relationships and trying to study some too. It’s almost time for my twin sister Nerilka and me to graduate – I thought this day would never come. I love the idea of graduation and starting my own family with my fiancée Andrea so soon. I can’t wait to make her my bride!

Page 69: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Ramoth, you’re so beautiful. I can’t believe I’m so lucky that you invited me over for lunch. I never even thought you’d noticed me in class before.”

“Of course I did. You’re so smart and cute too, Cade.”

“It’s uh, Cale actually. My name’s Cale.”

“Yeah, okay. Just kiss me already!”

Page 70: The opus legacy chapter 5

My baby sister Ramoth is still quite the man-eater these days. I really need to have that talk with her soon. Luckily, I don’t have to worry about Nerilka being anything like that. She’s finally met a great guy in Toby. I think they’re wonderful together.

Page 71: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I never thought I could feel this way about anyone, Toby. I think I’m falling in love with you.” Nerilka confessed after dinner.“Oh, Neri! I love you too.” Toby pulled her up into a hug as they confessed their love for each other.“Woulda been better if you’d kissed her, man.” Leave it to Ramoth to ruin a perfectly romantic moment.

Page 72: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Look, sis, I know that you decided to follow the romance way of life, but you’re only a sophomore. I’m really worried that you’re going to tarnish your reputation if you keep on acting the way you have. Sleeping around only gets you a bad name – no matter what some girls believe, it doesn’t win over the guy’s heart. These men are using you. I don’t want you to get hurt.” I finally talked to Ramoth – I hope it does some good!

Page 73: The opus legacy chapter 5

So much for my heart to heart with Ramoth…

Page 74: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Neri, you’re graduating soon. I just thought maybe it’s time to talk about our future more.”“Mhm.”“Stop kissing me and pay attention silly! Honestly, I want you to move in with me when you graduate. I think we should get married too.”

Page 75: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Really, Toby? I think so too. But why wait until graduation to make it official?” Nerilka asked as she dropped to one knee.“I know this is corny asking you to marry me, but what do you say? Let’s start planning a wedding now.” And with that, my sister got engaged!

Page 76: The opus legacy chapter 5

Ramoth is still flying through guys like there is no tomorrow. I feel like I should say one more thing to her before I graduate, but I know it’s useless. She let the secret out that her lifetime want is to have twenty simultaneous lovers so I think she’s got her heart set.

Page 77: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I can’t believe you and Toby are going to get married before me! I’m so happy for you.”“I know. He wants to get married ASAP. It’s exciting!! I’m going to miss you though, twin brother. This will be the first time we’ve been apart since birth.”“Yeah, we can handle it though. Plus, downtown isn’t too far from home. You can still drive down and visit… We better go, the cab’s going to leave you. I’ll see you later sis.”

Page 78: The opus legacy chapter 5

Now that my big brother has left SSU to start his life with Andrea, he asked me to keep everyone updated on what’s going on with my twin sister Ramoth and I. For starters, it got pretty quiet when my older siblings left. It’s strange to have the house so empty.

Page 79: The opus legacy chapter 5

Even though I’m almost in my junior year, I haven’t made many friends in college. I like to read, paint and play chess so that doesn’t leave much time for socializing. “Hello, F’lar? I’m trying to teach you this new cheer. Don’t you want to pay attention?”I wish I could be as outgoing and fun as Elle – the campus cheerleader.

Page 80: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Then you roll your arms around each other, jump up and shout ‘SSU!’ Easy enough, right?”“Yeah, it is pretty easy. Catchy too.”“Thanks, I came up with it myself. I was playing around on the piano one night and came up with the catchy little tune and just needed the words.”

Page 81: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Elle, I had no idea you were into music.”

“Oh yeah. I’m more than just a dumb blonde cheerleader you know.” Elle winked. “I’d love to be able to paint, but I’m afraid I’m artistically challenged. I love any kind of music though.”

Elle and I chatted for a while, there was this connection there I can’t explain. We got to know each other pretty well – I was interested to know more about her. I’d always seen her as just a pretty face on campus. It’s awesome to get to know her more.

Ramoth isn’t really up to anything new. She’s still on her quest to have twenty simultaneous lovers – it’s quite irritating when I walk into my room and one of those lovers is asleep in my bed. Time to burn my bed sheets!

My lifetime want is to become a world class ballet dancer. It’s high time I started working out and eating better, so I’ve taken up yoga. It’s a great way to stay in shape and I’m surprised at how flexible it has made me!

I have always had this love of pets – even when I was younger I loved Diver and Kimi. I miss not having any animals in the house, so I bought a bird cage and Polly. I know her name isn’t original, but it doesn’t matter to me. I’m just happy to have an animal to care for again!

Ramoth has almost made it halfway to her twenty lovers. I’m always surprised to see her with a new guy – not because it isn’t characteristic who Ramoth is now, but because I’m pretty sure she’s been with half the guys on campus already!

“Don’t bend your knees so far, silly head. You look like you’re squatting!” Elle always comes over when she has a new cheer to show off. We’re best friends now, and honestly I’m ready to take it to the next level. I’m so attracted to her and I sure hope she feels the same way.

“Elle, I’m so glad we met. You really brought me out of my shell. I want to let you know how smart and beautiful I think you are.”“Squuawwwwwk!” Polly’s hunger interrupted my little love speech to Elle. Guess I can’t blame my little parrot – everyone’s gotta eat!

“I’m glad I can be myself around you, F’lar. There is all this pressure on me to be a stereotypical cheerleader. I’m glad I found you too. You bring out the best in me.” As Elle fidgeted with her clothes, blushing a little I went in for a kiss. This was the moment I fell for my best friend.

Well, she’s not my best friend anymore! She’s more than that. While the mood was right, I dropped to one knee and proposed. She said yes! While my relationship with Elle is growing, my sister Nerilka is getting settled into her new life at home with Toby. I’ll let her tell you about it though!

I convinced my fiancé Toby Turner to move to Desiderata Valley so that I could stay close to my family. He moved out of his old apartment downtown and into a new three bedroom home with me. It was a hectic time, so planning a wedding would be just an added stress. Instead, we got married in our new kitchen!

Toby quickly found a job working in the medical field as an EMT. I found my dream career in the criminal field as a counterfeiter. It’s pretty neat that I can go hand out with new friends making fraud money all day long and get paid big bucks to do it!

Toby and I got pregnant soon after our wedding. It was a pretty difficult pregnancy for me – I was always hungry and tired. Luckily, Toby was there to help me feel better with back massages and encouraging words.

Page 93: The opus legacy chapter 5

My pregnancy went by in a blur, not because it was easy, but because I was asleep for most of it! Toby and I welcomed a baby boy named Frank into our family.-----Frank is named after Frank Kennedy. He is Scarlett’s second husband whom she refers to as an old maid. His timid nature and loving way toward Scarlett annoys her to no end. However his money helps Scarlett start a lumber business from which she grows rich after the Civil War.

Page 94: The opus legacy chapter 5

I didn’t want to waste any time after Frank was born, so I jumped right into my studies for work. I wanted to achieve my lifetime want before Toby and I had any children, but babies come on their own time I guess!

Page 95: The opus legacy chapter 5

The first night when Toby came home from work to hold Frank, he fell in love with our son. It’s hard not to though – he is such a cute baby! My husband took some time off to take care of Frank while I worked hard to become a criminal mastermind. I’m so thankful for the family that I have! While Toby and I get settled into parenthood, we also have a wedding to attend soon. Sebell is getting married – but I’ll let him tell you all about that!

“Son, I’m so proud of the man you’ve become. Andrea is a great girl. She makes you happy, I could see that the day you two came home from college together. She and your mother have had a field day with the wedding planning, and the big day is finally here! How do you feel?”“Like I’m about to marry the girl of my dreams.”

Page 97: The opus legacy chapter 5

“Good answer, Seb! You still nervous about being the heir?”“You know, not really Dad. When I left for college I was a little anxious, but not anymore. Andrea brought such peace to my worries. There’s something about her… I can’t explain it. When I look at her, I just know we’re going to do a great job carrying on my family name. She makes me very happy Dad.”“I know what you mean. Your mother completely turned my life around too. In a good way. She brought peace and happiness to me. She also gave me six of the most wonderful gifts I could have ever asked for.”

Page 98: The opus legacy chapter 5

“I know and I’ll be happy if Andrea and I can have as successful a marriage as you and Mom have had for all these years.”“Well son, it’s going to take hard work, but I know you guys can do it. Now, straighten your tie… You’ve got a very sweet and beautiful girl in a white dress waiting to marry you!”
