GATHERING TOGETHER
WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS SHARING JOYS AND CONCERNS
PRELUDE: Praise the Lord Who Reigns Above arr: Mary McDonald CALL TO WORSHIP: based on Psalm 8 Rev. Bob Williams-Neal
Leader: O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! People: You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouths of the
young you have established strength against your enemies. Leader: As we look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars
which you have set in place, who are we that you even consider us? People: You have made us lower than the angels, yet crowned us with glory, and
made us stewards of all you have made. All: O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
* GATHERING SONG: #482—Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (unison) Rev. Bob Williams-Neal
Into your presence and before your majesty we come, O Lord. You made us in your image that we would hear your voice and do as you direct us. We admit our indifference to listening for your voice. We confess we defiantly dislike doing what you tell us. Yet, in our heart we feel the tug of your Spirit. We are reminded of your sweet and surprising grace. We hear again Jesus’ call to lay our burdens down and follow Him. Lord, we need you. Lord, we want you. Trusting, not in ourselves, but in Christ alone, we confess to you… SILENT CONFESSION ASSURANCE OF PARDON
* GREETING ONE ANOTHER: Leader: May the peace of Christ be with you.
People: And also with you.
* CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE: Sanctuary Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you.
Today’s flowers are given by Tom & Cathy Dawson
in honor of their daughter’s birthday.

Make me a channel of your peace. Where there is hatred let me bring your love. Where there is injury, your pardon Lord, and where there's doubt, true faith in you. O Master, grant that I may never seek so much to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved, as to love, with all my soul. Make me a channel of your peace. Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope. Where there is darkness only light, and where there's sadness ever joy. Make me a channel of your peace. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, in giving of ourselves that we receive, and in dying that we're born to eternal life.

Chorus
Bless the Lord oh my soul Oh my soul Worship His Holy name Sing like never before Oh my soul I'll worship Your Holy name
The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning It's time to sing Your song again Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me Let me be singing when the evening comes Chorus You're rich in love and You're slow to anger Your name is great and Your heart is kind For all Your goodness I will keep on singing Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find Chorus And on that day when my strength is failing The end draws near and my time has come Still my soul will sing Your praise unending Ten thousand years and then forevermore Chorus
