My father, Herb Schoonover, bought Arlington Animal Hospital in 1975 from J.M Farrell who built the hospital on State Highway 80 (Division Street) which was at that time the only road between Dallas and Fort Worth. I bought the hospital in 1992 from my father, and I am hoping that some day my daughter who is also a veterinarian, will join me in practice and make it three generations! My hospital received the "Texas Heritage Veterinary Practice Award" March 1, 2014 from The Texas Veterinary Medical Association. We are a full-service general practice and have a strong relationship with our clients, our patients, and our community. Dr. Harris mentors students from UTA, Upward Bound, Lamar High School Health Professions Programs as well as speaking at a variety of Career Day events in the local schools.
