DANCESPORT GALA NIGHT
On Monday evening I had the pleasure to join Ms
Kortekaas and Mrs Mulkeen to watch forty Year 5
students participate in the Metropolitan North gala
spectacular at the Quay Centre, Homebush. Along
with a large number of other schools, Narrabeen
North students took to the floor to showcase their
dances in front of a large audience.
This is our second year involved in the program which
is specifically designed to promote the values of

TELL THEM FROM ME PARENT SURVEY IS NOW OPEN
Parents are asked to participate in the Department
of Education Tell Them from Me Parent Survey. This is
your opportunity to let us know how we are doing as
a school and as a system. This year there are a
number of questions that ask parents' views on
schools' inclusivity and resourcing for students with
disabilities and special needs, which will help inform
the department's strategic priorities. There are also
new questions asking parents about your school's
built environment.

Mrs Reid and Mrs Mulkeen
Could you be an ethics coordinator for our school?
Our current ethics coordinator is moving on and we
are seeking a volunteer so that classes can continue
next year. Ethics classes are currently available for
children in all years, from Kindergarten to Year 6.
The ethics coordinator communicates with school
staff, supports ethics teachers and liaises with Primary
Ethics, the not-for-profit organisation approved to
design curriculum and training for the program.
This role provides a great opportunity for a working
parent who might be unable to volunteer during
school hours and is a rewarding way to engage with
the school community. Times are flexible, requiring
approximately 1-2 hours per week. Online training is
provided.
In ethics classes, children learn how to think logically,
