LITERARY WEEK – Secondary School

5th -9th February 2017

was propelled into success from the very first activity. An enthralling concept of sharing a social message in a

Fairy Tale setting. Students were deeply involved in writing, improvising, imagining and enacting.

DAY 2 – Master Mind

The Class Inter-House Quiz kept the

grey cells ticking. The students'

knowledge soared to reach out to the

domain of the Modern Literary

World, in their endeavor for gaining

knowledge and understanding. The

Question and Answer Round, Audio

Round, The Visual Round and the

Rapid-Fire Round saw students

fighting tooth and nail for the

Numero Uno position of Master

Minds.

“Does our present Educational System prepare students for the real world?” A provocative question to set the

mood for the Teachers v/s Students debate. Both teams left no stone unturned to prove their point. They put

forward their oratory skills with utmost conviction and clarity, making their position clear with their tactful

arguments. The victors of this nail-biting face -off were the proponents-Teachers.

The innovative idea of uniting two closely linked objects or people in an engaging conversation was the

highlight of the day. Salt and Pepper, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, Red Riding Hood and The Big

Bad Wolf– all jumped to life, to create hilarious situations. The Diyafites, in their pursuit to ‘bring objects

and characters to life’, employed their creativity as the catalyst to inspire, entertain, or provoke thought.

The outcome was beyond words to describe. It was a day of fun, frolic and laughter.
