The altitude can be obtained from the LPC NG & from RTOW charts.
Consider engine damaged if: - loud noise I explosion was detected - high engine vibration prior to flameout - repeated or uncontrollable engine stalls - abnormal engine indications on ECAM (e.g. N1 or N2 near zero
