What is the automatic control system (acs)?acs is a time management system that remotely engages students with the study process through a web portal and application. AСS provides access to the work plan, schedule, grades record, list of elective courses, and registration for consultations. the student can also see missed classes, schedule of consultations, current and final grades.

What is moodle?

moodle is a database for distance learning, which contains study and methodological materials (lectures notes and presentations, study guides for practical (seminar) classes, and video resources). MOODLE is also used for testing the knowledge and carrying out surveys of teaching quality to evaluate the teachers. Using a personal university account, the student can access study materials, tests and other resources according to his (her) course and specialty.

simUlation training center

The aim of the center is to improve knowledge and practical skills of the students by modeling various emergencies with the help of simulators, mannequins, virtual software and standardized patients.

SCientifiC programSTo make student research more efficient, there are two programs: “student science and vocational training” and “Student, a future highly qualified specialist”. young researchers can enroll in either of these programs to work on and present their scientific findings.

The Scientific Society of Students (STS) unites those who is taking the first steps in the field of science. you will learn to write about and defend your research results, find like-minded colleagues, develop leadership and communication skills. every year students and young scientists participate in the International medical congress, which is organized by sTs and involves a large number of young scientists not only from our university, but also from other medical institutions of ukraine.

The student parliament is the executive branch of student self­ governance. It represents the position of young people in different spheres of academic life, plays an active role in organizing events to fully promote learning and research activities, as well as social, athletic and creative endeavors of students.

TNMU community of international students from 60 different countries creates a unique cultural diversity. Many students join groups representing their countries. These international student associations are run as non-profit organisations by the students themselves, and are not linked to any political party.

International student associations from different countries ensure the proper welfare of their members in terms of education, health, greater security and all social aspects of life. They foster unity and co-operation among international students, promote dialog between the student body and university authorities, and ensure that any issues and problems are promptly and effectively addressed. Another important aim of the associations is developing good relations between international and local students of TNMU. Associations hold various events and celebrations spotlighting their cultures, organize study seminars, debates, and other

mentoring SyStem Student mentor corpsA mentor is a senior student who understands the difficulties every freshman encounters, has experience dealing with the common issues and helps to navigate through them. Mentors give advice on academic matters, as well as free-time and extracurricular activities at the University.

tutoringTutors help their peers during academic year, focusing on one-on-one teaching as a vital part of the university academic process. The best and most accomplished students prepare video lectures, study materials and share them with others. Tutors prepare and run group workshops and discussions to clarify difficult concepts, facilitate learning and prepare for term exams and and the qualifying state exam KROK.Students that interested in learning pre-clinical subjects (mostly, students in the 1st to 3rd years of study) can to take part in peer assisted learning via the project “MedGRADiENT”. Its motto is: “Learning Medicine Made Simple”.

CuratorsA curator is a teacher that

● helps students to adjust to the academic environment;

● familiarizes them with aspects of university life; ● involves students as a group in university

projects, events and participation in the Scientific Students Society;

● informs them of the rules and regulations pertaining to the study process and features of the module credit system;

● gives recommendations on developing an indi-vidual curriculum and organizing independent work;

● becomes a contact point with parents of the students, informs them about academic achie-ve ments and setbacks.

Volunteering moVement Medical profession is a demanding field, but there is always a sense of satisfaction brought by being able to do good deeds, help others and grow not only professionally but also spiritually. That is why the volunteer movement at the university is such a success. each year, hundreds of students, including international students, join the ranks of volunteers. The doctors­in­training carry out outreach activities, assist service men and women, help people from socially disadvantaged groups, those with disabilities, orphans, the elderly, and others.

the Creative teameveryone is invited to become a member of the “creative Team”! people of all talents are welcomed in this student group, where they inspire and help each other to uncover new potential!

This is a place for a reticent dreamer stashing his poems and stories away, and for an expressive youTuber who has been for years sharing covers on his channel. The sense of humor and unique dance moves are also highly valued attributes!

Online and offline concerts, literary and musical events, master classes, art contests and pageants – the “Creative Team” brings to life all these and much more to make the student experience even more special and vivid!

students participating in the theater studio develop many skills: not only the expected ones such as a clear diction, self-confidence, and the ability to carry themselves, but also being able to understand the human nature, to see the hidden essence of things, to absorb the world around through all senses.

outlookThis is a team of creative, quick­witted students who work on a student vlog, which these days is viewed all over ukraine. It is a platform that brings together not only students of different courses, faculties and specialties, but also the whole student body with professors, university administration, famous individuals and public figures of Ternopil and the country.

among the videos created and published by the team are online lectures by famous personalities, evidence­based publications on important medical topics, reviews of clinical cases, educational videos, lectures helping the students to prepare for the state exam krok and to learn ukrainian language, as well as outreach conversations on health topics for schoolchildren of different ages.

athletiCS and SportSHealthy lifestyle and physical activity is the motto of the University sports center. TNMU students have access to a number of different courts and training facilities, staffed by experienced coaches and instructors.

The University has different athletic teams: football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, gymnastics, tennis, table tennis, cheerleading, yoga, chess, rugby, and dance sports.

More than 1.5 thousand university students live in 4 hostels. The dormitories have 2-3-4 person rooms with shared kitchens, restrooms and other facilities.

There are 2 sports grounds, a library, 3 gyms, catering, medical and housekeeping services on campus.

Each dorm has meeting and study rooms as well as a events space.

reCreation Center “CherVona kalyna”The center is located outside of the city and includes two hostels and four detached buildings with three to four rooms each. In additions, the Center encompasses a congress facility, food service, and the facility for disease prevention and rehabilitation. Those staying on the premises have access to exercise equipment, athletic courts, a tennis court, volleyball and football fields, billiard tables, and an outdoor pool.
