Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and Renovation" of our Church Buildings. The "R & R" Collections

will be helping us to pay for the Renovation of the Pope Francis

Center. We ask all parishioners to be as generous as possible and

We will have a Novena of Masses for All Souls Day beginning

on All Souls Day (November 2nd) and continuing for nine days.

Each day a Mass intention will be offered for our deceased loved

ones whose names have been submitted. All Souls Novena

envelopes are available in Church and at the Rectory Office. Up

to 10 names of deceased family members and loved ones may be

included on each envelope. Envelopes may be returned in the

collection or at the Rectory Office.

ALL SOULS MASS - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd

A Bi-Lingual Mass in commemoration of ALL SOULS DAY will

be celebrated next Saturday, November 3rd at 10:30am. At this

Mass, all of our parishioners who have passed away, especially

during the past year will be prayed for and their names will be

read. If someone in your family has passed away during this past

year and you would like to have their name read at the Mass,

please visit or call the Rectory Office (718-768-6065).

COMMUNION PARENT MEETING There will be a meeting in the school auditorium next

Sunday, November 4th at 10:30am (In English)

for parents of children that will be receiving their first

communion in 2019. It is important that all parents attend

this meeting! Attendance will be taken!

parishioners and neighbors, we were

able to collect 44 lifesaving donations

at last Sunday’s Blood Drive, our best

blood drive in over 17 years!

UNUSED GIFTS

Our Annual Christmas Sale will be on Sunday, December 2

from 8:00am-2:00pm. If you would like to donate any

unused gifts such as: toys, clothing, accessories, perfumes,

colognes and household items, you can drop them off at the

Rectory addressed to Ibette.

NEW ALTAR SERVER TRAINING

WEDNESDAY - NOVEMBER 7TH AT 5PM

Training for new Altar Servers will be held in the Church

on Wednesday, November 7th at 5:00pm. Boys and girls

who are in 4th Grade and older and have made their First

Communion or are in their 2nd Year of Catechism and will

receive their First Holy Communion in May 2019 are

eligible to serve. Registration Forms

are available in the Rectory or in the

Catechism Program and must be filled

out by a Parent. Any parents who

have questions or would like more

information may speak with Fr.

Tendremos una Novena de Misas especial para el Día de los

Difuntos, que comenzará el 2 de noviembre, Día de los

Difuntos, y continuará durante nueve días. Cada día se ofrecerá

una intención de misa por todos nuestros seres queridos

fallecidos, cuyos nombres han sido enviados. Hay sobres de

Novena para el Día De Los Difuntos disponibles en la Iglesia y

en la Oficina de la Rectoría. Puede incluir hasta 10 nombres de

familiares y seres queridos fallecidos en cada sobre. Puede

devolver los sobres en la colección o entregarlos en la Oficina

de la Rectoría.

MISA ESPECIAL PARA LOS FIELES DIFUNTOS

Una Misa bilingüe en conmemoración del Día de Todos los

Difuntos, será celebrada el próximo 3 de noviembre, a las

10:30am. En esta Misa estaremos orando por todos los

feligreses que han fallecido, especialmente durante el año

pasado y leeremos sus nombres. Si alguien de su familia a

fallecido y desea agregar un nombre para la misa, visite o llame

DONATIONS IN MEMORY & HONORING FIREFIGHTER THOMAS PHELAN

On Friday, October 12th at the Street Naming Ceremony for Marine Pilot Firefighter Thomas

Phelan, the friends of "Tommy" presented St. Michael's with a check in the amount of $6,500,

the funds raised from a "Night at Citi Field" for a Mets Game this past June at which Thomas

and his family were honored with Ceremony on the Field before the game. With this donation,

funds raised from Memorial Pins designed by Thomas' friend Brian Lang and other donations

made in Thomas' memory by his friends and family, St. Michael's has received almost $10,000

towards our Parish Scholarship Fund, which supports young parishioners who are studying in

College as well as families who are sending their children to Catholic Schools. We continue to

pray for Firefighter Phelan, his family and friends and we express our gratitude to all for their

generous support of our parish, especially our young parishioners.

DONACIONES EN MEMORIA Y EN HONOR AL BOMBERO THOMAS PHELAN

El viernes, 12 de octubre, en la ceremonia de nombramiento de calles para el bombero piloto Thomas

Phelan, los amigos de "Tommy" le entregaron a San. Miguel un cheque por un monto de $ 6,500, los

fondos recaudados de una "Noche en el Campo Citi" del Juego de los Mets, en junio pasado, en el que

Thomas y su familia fueron honrados con una ceremonia en el campo de juego antes del torneo. Con

esta donación, los fondos recaudados de los Alfileres, diseñados por el amigo de Thomas, Brian Lang,

y otras donaciones hechas en la memoria de Thomas por sus amigos y familiares, San Miguel ha

recibido casi $ 10,000 para nuestro Fondo de becas parroquiales, que apoya a los jóvenes feligreses

que están estudiando en la universidad, así como las familias que están enviando a sus hijos a las

escuelas católicas. Continuamos orando por el bombero Phelan, su familia y amigos, y expresamos

nuestra gratitud a todos por su generoso apoyo a nuestra parroquia, especialmente a nuestros jóvenes
