LENTEN RETREAT DAY - SUNDAY, MARCH 18TH

The Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group "God with Us" of

St. Michel’s invites you to a Lenten Retreat on Sunday, March

18th, 2018 at 1:00pm in the School Auditorium Entrance on

43rd Street (This event will be in Spanish).

GOOD FRIDAY-“VIACRUCIS” VOLUNTEER PRACTICE

There will be a meeting/practice today and every Sunday at

2:00pm in the church for anyone who wishes to volunteer for

the Good Friday dramatization of the Stations of the Cross.

PARISH COUNCIL - NEXT SUNDAY, MARCH 18th Our next parish council meeting will be on Sunday, March

18th at 1:30pm in the Chapel. Please have any agenda items

by Thursday, March 15th. All are invited.

DIOCESAN LENTEN RETREAT (IN SPANISH) The annual Diocesan Lenten Retreat Day at the Immaculate

Conception Center in Douglaston is Saturday, March 24, 8:30

a.m. at 3:00 p.m. If you wish to attend, you must register at the

Rectory with a deposit of $10.

The cost $35 is due by Tuesday, March 20th

HEALING MASS We will have our Healing Mass this month on Monday, March

19th at 7:00pm, instead of 6:30pm.

NEWLY REGISTERED PARISHIONERS

We welcome our newly registered parishioners, especially the

72 parishioners and families that registered on the weekend of

Feb. 24/25. For those who recently registered, we have pre-

pared packets of temporary envelopes with you name and

information. Those packets can be picked up after Mass this

weekend or at the Rectory during the week. You should be

receiving a packet of envelopes in the mail over the next few

weeks, containing envelopes for each weekend, beginning on

Sunday, April 15th. You may use the temporary envelopes

with your information until Sunday, April 8th. If you have any

questions, please call the Rectory Office at: 718-768-6065.

ARE YOU A REGISTERED PARISHIONER?

We invite & ask all Parishioners to Register. If you need a

letter of Recommendation from the Parish (for a job, immigra-

tion, etc.) or if you are asked to be a Sponsor for Baptism or

Confirmation, you must be an active registered member of the

Parish. If you do not receive envelopes in the mail or are not

using the envelopes for your weekly donation, you are not

registered as an active parishioner. You may see Brenda in the

back of the Church after Mass on Sundays or come to the

Rectory during Office Hours to register.

TRIP TO LANCASTER

Our trip to Lancaster this year is to see the play “JESUS” on

June 23rd, 2018. To register, a deposit of $25 is due at the

Rectory. If you are interested please call Grace Olavarria at

CREATIVE ART & DECORATION CLASSES

Creative Art and Decorating Classes for children ages 3 and

up will take place in the Pope Francis Center on Saturday

mornings. Classes are $15 per class.

for all Confirmation Students and their parents. Attendance

will be taken, please make every effort to attend.

COMMUNION PARENT MEETING

There will be a meeting for parents with children that will

receive their first communion this year on Sunday, March 18th

at 8:30am in Spanish and 10:30am in English. The meeting

will be in the School Auditorium. Attendance will be taken.

OUTDOOR STATIONS OF THE CROSS

with ST. AGATHA and OLPH On Friday, March 23rd at 7:00pm, we will join with the

parishioners of St. Agatha's and OLPH for an "Outdoor

Stations of the Cross".

We will meet in the Lower Church of OLPH (5th Ave. & 59th

Street) and process along 5th Ave.

to 43rd Street. We will enter Sunset

Park at 6th Ave. and 43rd Street for

the final stations, closing Prayer and

Blessing. During the processions,

the Stations will be prayed in FOUR Languages: English, Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese.

HOLY WEEK ENVELOPES - MISSING FROM PACKET

There was an error in the most recent packet of envelopes

which registered parishioners receive in the mail.

The company failed to include envelopes for: Holy Thursday,

Good Friday, and the 2nd Collection on Easter Sunday. They

recognized the error, contacted us, and will send a special

mailing with the three missing envelopes. All registered

parishioners should receive them before Holy Week.

DIA DE RETIRO DE CUARESMA DIOCESANA El Retiro Cuaresmal Diocesano anual, en el Centro de la

Inmaculada Concepción en Douglaston es el sábado, 24 de

marzo de 8:30a.m. a 3:00p.m. Si desea asistir deben inscribirse

en la Rectoría y dar un depósito de $10. El costo total es $35

debe pagarse para el martes 20 de marzo.

MISA DE SANACION Tendremos una Misa de Sanación el último lunes de cada otro

mes. El próximo será el lunes 19 de marzo-la Misa será a las

7:00pm, en lugar de las 6:30 pm.

PARROQUIANOS RECIENTEMENTE REGISTRADOS

Damos la bienvenida a nuestros feligreses recién inscritos,

especialmente a las 72 familias que se inscribieron el fin de

semana del 24/25 de febrero. Para aquellos que se inscribieron

recientemente, hemos preparado paquetes de sobres temporales

con su nombre e información. Esos paquetes se pueden recoger

después de la Misa de este fin de semana o en la Rectoría du-

rante la semana. Recibirán un paquete de sobres por correo

durante las próximas semanas, con sobres para cada fin de se-

mana, comenzando el domingo 15 de abril. Puede usar los so-

bres temporales con su información hasta el domingo 8 de

El 23 de Junio del 2018 será nuestro próximo viaje a Lancaster

SOBRES QUE FALTARON DE SEMANA SANTA

Hubo un error en el paquete más reciente de sobres que los

parroquianos registrados reciben por correo. La Compañía no

incluyó sobres para: Jueves Santo, Viernes Santo y la 2ª

Colecta del Domingo de Pascua. La Compañía reconoció el

The 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal has begun!

During the next few weeks, many parishioners and those

who have made a pledge in the past will be receiving

materials in the mail. We encourage you to make a pledge or

a gift as soon as possible by returning the Pledge Form by

mail, bringing it to the Rectory Office, or by dropping it in

the Collection Basket.

Our goal for this year’s ACA is $39,425.

All donations exceeding the goal will be returned to the par-

ish, which will go towards paying off the balance from the

renovations of the “Pope Francis Parish Center”.

¡La Campaña Católica Anual 2018 ha comenzado!

Durante las próximas semanas, muchos feligreses y aquellos que

han hecho una promesa en el pasado recibirán materiales por

correo. Los alentamos a hacer un compromiso o un regalo lo antes

posible devolviendo el Formulario de Promesa por correo,

llevándolo a la Oficina de la Rectoría, o colocándolo en la

Canasta de la Colecta.

Nuestro objetivo para la ACA de este año es de $39,425.
