A Reading from the first Book of Samuel (1 SM 3:3b-10, 19)
Samuel was sleeping in the temple of the LORD where the ark of God was. The LORD calledto Samuel, who answered, “Here I am.” Samuel ran to Eli and said, “Here I am. You calledme.” “I did not call you, “ Eli said. “Go back to sleep.” So he went back to sleep. Again theLORD called Samuel, who rose and went to Eli. “Here I am, “ he said. “You called me.” ButEli answered, “I did not call you, my son. Go back to sleep.” At that time Samuel was notfamiliar with the LORD, because the LORD had not revealed anything to him as yet. TheLORD called Samuel again, for the third time. Getting up and going to Eli, he said, “Here Iam. You called me.” Then Eli understood that the LORD was calling the youth. So he said toSamuel, “Go to sleep, and if you are called, reply, Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.”When Samuel went to sleep in his place, the LORD came and revealed his presence, callingout as before, “Samuel, Samuel!” Samuel answered, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”Samuel grew up, and the LORD was with him, not permitting any word of his to be withouteffect.

Lord Jesus Christ,Only Begotten Son,Lord God, Lamb of God,Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us;you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer;you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.

A Reading from the first Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians (1 COR 6:13c-15a, 17-20)
Brothers and sisters: The body is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lordis for the body; God raised the Lord and will also raise us by his power. Do you notknow that your bodies are members of Christ? But whoever is joined to the Lordbecomes one Spirit with him. Avoid immorality. Every other sin a person commitsis outside the body, but the immoral person sins against his own body. Do you notknow that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you havefrom God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.
Lector: The Word of the Lord. People: Thanks be to God.
A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to John (JN 1:35-42) People: Glory to you, O Lord.
John was standing with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by,he said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” The two disciples heard what he said andfollowed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them,“What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” — which translatedmeans Teacher —, “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come, and youwill see.” So they went and saw where Jesus was staying, and they stayed withhim that day. It was about four in the afternoon. Andrew, the brother of SimonPeter, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus. He first foundhis own brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah” — which istranslated Christ —. Then he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him andsaid, “You are Simon the son of John; you will be called Cephas” — which istranslated Peter.
Priest: The Gospel of the Lord. People: Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ.
The Responsorial: Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will. (PS 40:2, 4, 7-8, 8-9, 10)
Lector: Alleluia! People Only: Alleluia! (Stand) Lector Only: We have found the Messiah: Jesus Christ, who brings us truth and grace. (Jn 1:41, 17b) People Only: Alleluia!
Priest: The Lord be with you. People: And with your spirit.
Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father;
through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation He came down
from heaven,At the words that follow, up to and including and became Man, all bow
and by the Holy Spirit was Incarnate of the Virgin
Mary and became Man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
He suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living
and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver ofLife, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,Who with the Father and the Son is adored andglorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

Starts at 17 Noxon St., Poughkeepsie, NY.In the sad observance of the 48th
anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the SupremeCourt ruling that legalized abortion in
America, please join us for a Jericho March.... a peaceful, prayerful witness to life.

Sponsored by Dutchess4Life
As we await the most pro-abortiongovernment in American history tocome into power in less than twoweeks, let us pause to reflect on
the above quote and our role at thisall-important moment in history ...a moment in which God has
placed us to be His witnesses!!
Now is not the time to shrink fromwitnessing to life, but rather it is
a time to be faithful to the call that God has put on our hearts.
God has not called me to be successful, He has called me to be faithful.

Prayer of Intercession to St. Agnes(Memorial of St. Agnes is celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 21st, 2021)
Let us gain courage for our own battle by honoring the martyrdom
of the glorious virgin Agnes. St. Agnes, vessel of honor, flower
of unfading fragrance, beloved of the choirs of Angels, you are
an example to the worth of virtue and chastity. O you who wear
a Martyr's palm and a virgin's wreath, pray for us that,
though unworthy of a special crown, we may have our names
written in the list of Saints. Amen. (Mention your request)
