Seattle · Archdiocese of Seattle St. Catherine Parish intends to accomplish the following projects with its parish share: REFRESHING OUR WORSHIP SPACE: $32,000 This project is an extension of our parish project funded by our Annual Catholic Appeal rebate. For the ACA, this year's parish project is painting the inside of the church. We will extend this goal to include new carpet, making cosmetic repairs, updating the cry room/bathroom, providing maintenance and repair to outside doors, and refinishing the dais. Maintaining a dignified, welcoming and holy worship space is one of the ways that we serve the universal Church. St. Catherine’s is and will continue to be a fitting house of prayer which serves the spiritual needs of its community. This requires us to continue to maintain our church’s facilities, especially our sanctuary space so that parishioners and visitors feel comfortable and welcomed here. SCHOOL EARTHQUAKE RETROFIT: $60,000 St. Catherine School is a primary ministry of our parish, nurturing children to be responsible, ethical leaders rooted in the Catholic faith and inspired by gospel values. The school is planning for renovations to address the need for an earthquake retrofit. We will direct $50,000 from our successful campaign drive to address this need. We will also attend to additional exterior building maintenance to present a campus that reflects our pride in our school program and facilities. We serve our children well by maintaining the facilities they regularly use. A well-kept school and parish facility demonstrates our commitment to be a community who serves and cares about all who enter here, by making sure the spaces they use are safe and dignified. ST.
