How much does it cost to get started with Slumber Parties?It costs you a minimum of $250 to own your own business and receive a kit equipped with the necessary tools to launch your business into overdrive. But, as a new consultant, Slumber Parties give you several options to choose from. The larger the kit you choose, the larger your sales profit percentage will be on the kit and your future orders.

How do I book my parties?Make a list of everyone you know and share with them the exciting news that you own your own business. Invite friends, family members and women you see while running daily errands to attend a party at your house or even ask someone you know to host a party of her own. Entertain your guests with enthusiasm and energy and explain to them that by hosting a party, they can get free gifts and incentives. If you have a positive attitude and your guests have a great time, they will want to host a party for their friends, and before you know it, your datebook will be filled.

How many parties do I need to do each week?Well, that’s up to you. You are your own boss! For example, if you decide you want to buy that new car you’ve been eyeing, you can increase the number of parties you need to make that purchase and achieve all your goals.

What if I don’t have a lot of extra time?One of the main perks of being a Slumber Parties consultant is the amount of flexibility you have in all aspects of your business. As a consultant, you can work as little or as much as you need based on your personal desires. If you would like to save up for that dream vacation, you have the option to schedule more parties to attain that goal, or if you are a new mother and would like to take some time off, you also have this option. The average party lasts about three hours and most consultants maKe anywhere between $200 and $1,000. Therefore, with Slumber Parties you will probably need a lot less time than a full-time job to make big-time cash.

How do I learn what to do?Slumber Parties takes pride in having the most knowledgeable consultants. Therefore, as a Slumber Parties consultant, you are provided with unlimited access to online message boards, free monthly meetings, a training manual and a training DVD with step-by-step instructions on running your business. Not to mention, every year a huge annual training is held to gather the best ideas and pass them on to you. Another great way to learn is through experience. Take a trip with an experienced consultant to a few of her parties, imitate what you like or become inspired to create your own unique style.

What can I tell my kids I do for a living?Each consultant must personally decide how to tell her children about her Slumber Parties business. It is important to take into account the ages of your children. Older children can handle more mature explanations. Just remember to focus on the positive changes Slumber Parties brings to relationships, rather than on specific products. Many current consultants feel that honesty is very important. Children are naturally curious and will probably desire an explanation if you don’t disclose any information about your business. If you are honest from the beginning, they are more likely to be supportive. Also, don’t forget to remind them that the reason Mommy can stay home with them and attend their fieldtrips and baseball games is because of her Slumber Parties business.

Do I have to recruit?Only if you want to! The more recruits you have, the higher your buying discount and the more profit you will make!

Are men allowed at parties?One of the beauties of Slumber Parties is our motto: “Enjoy a Great Girls’ Night Out!” Most women don’t get a chance to go out and socialize on a regular basis with women or a chance to meet other women. This is a great excuse to spend some time away from the husband/boyfriend and also the kids for the night. Often times the men will shoo them out the door happily to go to a Slumber Party knowing they will also enjoy the benefits when she gets home! They certainly don’t do that for a candle or makeup party!

good Standing reQuirementSSlumber Parties has built a foundation of respect and admiration on our unshakable commitment to commendable and honorable behavior and business ethics. In keeping with that commitment, we expect all Slumber Parties consultants to maintain the following Good Standing Requirements.

• To remain an active consultant, you must place a $50 order of retail products (before your buying discount) every two consecutive months. Failure to do so will result in a change of status to a Select Shopper.

• All parties are for women 18 and older only. A party cannot be held if a man or a child (including an infant) is present at the party or is in the home.

• We prefer that products are delivered to the customer the night of the party. Therefore, we ask that an appropriate inventory of stock is kept in order to deliver all or mostly all of the products the night of the party.

• Slumber Parties allows women to confidentially order products to enhance their personal lives. Therefore, all ordering must be done in a private location and in confidence to ensure our promise of confidentiality to all customers.

• You are responsible for all parties that you have booked or accepted through the Slumber Parties corporate office Party Leads system. You must conduct all parties you’ve booked. If for some reason you are unable to attend a party you have booked, you must have that party covered by another Slumber Parties consultant. If the party is a corporate assigned Party Lead, you must notify the Party Lead Support Team of the consultant change to avoid suspension from the Party Lead program.

• Only Slumber Parties consultants are authorized to demonstrate, sell or book parties. Any employee of yours is strictly prohibited from such activities.

• Slumber Parties has an outstanding reputation for enjoyable parties and wonderful products. In order to maintain that reputation, you must keep parties fun and deliver products in a timely manner. As a consultant, you cannot receive continuous party complaints. Additionally, once a complaint is filed, if the complaint is not resolved with the customer within one week, your account is changed to a status of On Hold.

• If you are not able to deliver purchased products on the night of the party, you must deliver those products to your customer in a timely manner and keep each customer up to date. Receiving more than three complaints for non-delivery of products from three separate parties within one year will result in termination.

• If products ordered by customers are backordered, it is your responsibility to deliver those backorders as soon as they are available to you and keep each customer up to date. Failure to deliver customer backorders will result in the loss of your Good Standing.

• You are strictly prohibited from selling adult romance products other than those of Slumber Parties. If you are a representative for another party plan, you cannot combine that party with a Slumber Party. Additionally, you may not solicit or promote any other party plan at a Slumber Party or to Slumber Parties consultants.

• You are strictly prohibited from selling Slumber Parties products at garage sales, flea markets or stores. Additionally, you are prohibited from selling our products on websites like EBay.

• You are strictly prohibited from buying from or selling to other consultants.

• You are strictly prohibited from duplicating company materials.

• Because Slumber Parties prides itself in rewarding successful consultants for their hard work, you are strictly prohibited from falsifying new recruit information or orders for the purpose of earning a contest or to advance in position.

• When Slumber Parties rewards you, we reward just you. All prizes are nontransferable; you may not sell or give away Slumber Parties rewards.

• Slumber Parties consultants are kind, understanding and patient women. To uphold our image, you must remain calm and cool at all times during parties, while customers are ordering or while promoting your business. You are not to be rude or offensive with any customer. You must keep a professional demeanor at all times.

code of conductIn order for Slumber Parties to maintain a reputation for professionalism and continue to achieve international success, we ask that everyone representing Slumber Parties adhere to the following basic principles of consultant conduct:

• Consultants wear professional attire anytime they represent Slumber Parties. This includes all parties, Corporate sponsored events and consultant sponsored events or any time when Slumber Parties is promoted.

• Consultants treat all clients, competitors and fellow consultants with professional courtesy and respect.

• Consultants uphold Slumber Parties’ rules and regulations, such as no men or children, at all parties.

• Consultants are responsible for their own safety and well-being. Use good judgment when entering a stranger’s home.

• Consultants do not sell or demonstrate products in a way that is unintended by Slumber Parties.

• Consultants deliver all orders in a timely fashion.

• Consultants book parties with honesty and integrity. No consultant shall employ unethical techniques in order to book a party.

• Consultants sell with honesty and integrity. No consultant shall employ unethical techniques in order to sell products.

• Consultants recruit with honesty and integrity. No consultant shall employ unethical techniques in order to sign recruits.

• Consultants will not slander Slumber Parties or fellow consultants to anyone at any time.

• Consultants file complaints through the Corporate Office and never in a public venue.

• Consultants shall use appropriate language at all times and avoid derogatory terms and/or profanity.

• Consultants display an upbeat and positive attitude when dealing with hostesses, clients and peers.

• Consultants respect all other’s personal physical space and avoid inappropriate body contact.

• Consultants are respectful of the personal, political and spiritual opinions of fellow consultants, hostesses, and customers.

• Consultants drinking alcohol during Corporate sponsored events or trips are fully responsible for their own actions, well-being and health. Additionally, all consultants should know their limits.

• Consultants shall never encourage a hostess, customer or potential recruit to stop doing business with another Slumber Parties consultant.

• Consultants will follow Slumber Parties policies in regards to advertising and marketing.

• Consultants do not promote, directly or indirectly, to other Slumber Parties consultants any other party plan.

• Consultants will refer clients to medical professionals with regard to any health concerns.

Qualifying as a Consultant• All new consultants have 60 days to become an active, qualified

consultant with Slumber Parties. This means 60 consecutive days from the date your kit shipped. The date your kit ships counts as your first day.

• If you purchased the $1,000 kit (Deluxe Kit) and have completed your online Slumber Parties Consultant Agreement (SCA), the first time you log on to the Slumber Parties website, you will automatically be a qualified active consultant and no additional retail order will need to be placed to become active.

• To become active, all consultants must complete their SCA online. An SCA is a contract between you and Slumber Parties giving proof of your status as a consultant to provide you with liability insurance coverage.

• Additionally, unless you have purchased the $1,000 kit (Deluxe Kit), to become active you must place a $250 order (before buying discount) in retail products (Business Essentials and Consultant/Hostess Specials are excluded within 60 days of your kit ship date.)

• There is a strict adherence to the 60 day rule to qualify. It is 60 days, not two months. If you do not meet the requirements to become a qualified consultant within 60 days, you will move to a Did Not Qualify status and will have to pay a $200 reactivation fee ($40 of which will activate your account and the remaining $160 will be added to your account as credits to place an order for products) in order to become an active consultant.

• As an added bonus, if you qualify and purchase over $1,000 in retail products within 30 days of your kit ship date, you will receive a Slumber Parties tote. If you purchase over $2,500 in retail products within 30 days of your kit ship date, you will receive a Slumber Parties tote and a Decadent Indulgence 3. These will be shipped within 10 business days of meeting the requirement.

Remaining Active • To remain active, you must place a $50 order of retail products (before

buying discount) every two consecutive calendar months. If you fail to make the required purchases, your status will change to Select Shopper.

• If you become a Select Shopper, you will no longer conduct parties, accept customer orders, advertise your business or attend meetings and corporate sponsored events. If you have prior credits on file, you may use these toward any orders that are being placed. You will lose all Free Products earned, backordered products, Convention Credits and any downline consultants you may have recruited. Your downline will roll up to your sponsor and at no time will they be placed back in your downline. Select Shoppers will lose access to the Consultant Central section of the website with the exception of online ordering privileges.

Select Shoppers will enjoy a 15% buying discount and can remain at a Select Shopper status for a maximum of one year, provided an order is placed every three months. There is no minimum purchase required. Select Shoppers are no longer eligible for contests, prizes, sale pricing or specials that are being offered. Select Shoppers are not eligible to maintain or apply for a Slumber Parties personal website. To reactivate, the Select Shopper will have to pay a $40 reactivation fee which will automatically return you to active status and all $40 will be applied to your account as credits.

• Once you become a Select Shopper and do not place an order for a three consecutive month period, you will become an inactive consultant. An inactive consultant can reactivate with a $200 reactivation fee, $40 of which will reactivate your account and the remaining $160 will be added to your account as credits to place an order for products. Any remaining credits on file accredited to the account prior to reactivation can be used to pay for future orders, but not towards your $200 reactivation fee. As a Select Shopper, you have one year to reactivate using this criteria. After one year from your Select Shopper date, you will move to the Dormant status and will have to follow the criteria below to become active again.

• If you are a Select Shopper who has been inactive for over one year, you will fall to Dormant status and will need to purchase a new kit to become an active consultant. Once a new kit has been purchased, you will have a new qualifying date which will also serve as your new Anniversary Date. Once your account is Dormant, all credits will be cleared from your account, and you will be treated like a new consultant.

• Once you have reactivated your consultant status, you will again become a part of your original sponsor’s downline. If your Slumber Mom has fallen to a Select Shopper or inactive status while you were inactive, you will roll up into your Slumber Grandmother’s downline. If she too has gone inactive during that time period, then you will roll up into the next logical downline (such as your Slumber Grandmother’s sponsor’s downline).

• If you are a consultant called to active duty in the U.S. Military, you can request Military Leave by submitting a copy of your orders to your Regional Administrator at the corporate office prior to your deployment. This specialized Leave of Absence will be effective throughout your tour of duty.

• When placing required orders, keep in mind that all orders submitted before midnight (CST) on the last day of the month qualify as purchases for that month. For example, during the month of March, all orders placed prior to midnight on the 31st will count toward March sales totals. Any order placed at 12:01 a.m. on April 1st, will count toward April totals. All times are Central Standard Time (CST).

ruleS and regulationSThe following rules and regulations apply to the business practices, incentives and benefits outlined in this document. All rules

and qualification are subject to change at the discretion of the Slumber Parties corporate office. Slumber Parties reserves

the right to determine the final interpretation of all rules, regulations, guidelines and requirements for any and all contests,

incentives, bonuses, prizes and awards. There are no exceptions given to any consultants.

• For telephone ordering, note that the time of the order is stamped according to when you hang up the phone. If you are trying to get your order in before the 7:00 a.m. CST shipping deadline, you must have your order completed before 7:00 a.m. CST. If you start your order by 6:50 a.m. CST and hang up at 7:08 a.m. CST, the order will be processed the following business day because the order was received by Slumber Parties after 7:00 a.m. CST.

• For fax orders, note that if you choose to fax in your orders, you must fax in the CIPL. It is your responsibility to make sure the fax goes through.

• For internet ordering, note that as a consultant, you have been issued a username and password to use when ordering on the Internet. Please remember that you may not change your shipping address to a customer’s address. Slumber Parties consultants are strictly prohibited from placing a consultant order that will ship directly to a customer. All order confirmations and shipping confirmations for consultant orders are send to your Slumber Parties Message Center in Consultant Central.

• We are pleased to have you as a consultant and expect you to maintain an honest, reliable and exclusive relationship with Slumber Parties. However, Slumber Parties does reserve the right to terminate a consultant at our discretion at any time. Some examples of reasons for termination would include: allowing men to attend parties, receiving continuous party complaints, receiving three complaints for non-delivery of product from three separate parties within one year, selling products other than those of Slumber Parties, buying from or selling to other consultants, duplicating company materials, failing to deliver customer backorders or falsifying new recruit information or orders for the purpose of earning a contest, Consultant Position, etc. A Cease and Desist letter will notify consultants of termination.

Consultant Positions / Consultant Discounts• Your consultant position is determined by your current, active personal

recruits. All consultants must have the minimum number of active personal recruits in their downlines in order to maintain each position. The following are the positions and requirements to be considered for those positions:

» Consultant (0 Recruits): Everyone starts Slumber Parties at the Consultant position. At this position, you have no recruits. Your initial buying discount depends on the kit purchased.

» Sr. Consultant (1-5 Active Personal Recruits): When your first recruit qualifies, you reach the Sr. Consultant position. If she qualifies within 30 days from the date her kit is shipped, you receive a sponsor bonus based on the price of the kit your new recruit purchased. You will now qualify for a monthly override check from your downline’s sales provided you meet the criteria to receive an override for your current position. While in the Sr. Consultant position, your discount on all retail products is 40%.

» Manager (6-11 Active Personal Recruits 1st Level Downline, 3+ Active Personal Recruits 2nd Level Downline): When your 6th active personal recruit qualifies and you have 3 qualified active personal recruits in your second level downline, you reach the Manager position. You will continue receiving sponsor bonuses and override checks on your recruits provided you meet the criteria to receive an override for your current position. Your buying discount on retail products is 45%.

» Sr. Manager (12-19 Active Personal Recruits 1st Level Downline, 6+ Active Personal Recruits 2nd Level Downline): When your 12th active personal recruit qualifies and you have at least 6 qualified active personal recruits in your second level downline, you reach the Sr. Manager position. You will continue receiving sponsor bonuses and override checks on your recruits provided you meet the criteria to receive an override for your current position. Your buying discount on retail products will increase to 50%.

» Executive (20-49 Active Personal Recruits 1st Level Downline, 35+ Active Personal Recruits 2nd Level Downline): When your 20th active personal recruit qualifies and you have at least 35 qualified active personal recruits in your second level downline, you reach the Executive position. You will continue receiving sponsor bonuses and override checks on your recruits provided you meet the criteria to receive an override for your current position. Your buying discount on retail products will increase to 53%.

» Sr. Executive (50+ Active Personal Recruits 1st Level Downline, 100+ Active Personal Recruits 2nd Level Downline): When your 50th active personal recruit qualifies and you have at least 100 qualified active personal recruits in your second level downline, you reach Sr. Executive position. You will continue receiving sponsor bonuses and override checks on your recruits provided you meet the criteria to receive an override for your current position. Your buying discount on retail products will increase to 60%.

• Your recruits will be evaluated daily. If you have increased your number of recruits, you might be eligible for an advancement in position.

• A personal recruit is someone you actively recruited. House recruits, rollups and recruits of rollups DO NOT count as personal recruits.

• If your current, active recruits warrant a decline in position, you will fall to the consultant position that you now qualify for. That includes a drop in position title, buying discount, override percentages and free product levels.

• Once you reach the 40% buying discount with the Sr. Consultant position, you will not fall below that buying discount even if you no longer qualify for that consultant position.

Free Product• Free product amounts are determined by your consultant position. To

calculate the amount of Free Retail Products for retail totals, multiply the following amounts (depending on position) by each full $1,200 increment sold:

» $30 for Consultant » $60 for Sr. Consultant » $90 for Manager » $120 for Sr. Manager » $150 for Executive » $180 for Sr. Executive

• All free product orders must be placed between the 5th and 12th of every month by internet only.

• Fax and phone free product orders will not be accepted.

• Free product orders must be received by 11:59 p.m. (CST) on the 12th. Any late orders will not be accepted. No exceptions.

• Free product orders must be placed separately through the free product ordering area online and may not accompany any other orders for submission.

• As required by law, a sales tax will be collected on free product items shipped with your next sales order.

• Free products are not eligible for your buying discount. So, if you are entitled to $30 in free products, then you will receive $30 of retail products as your free product.

• Unfortunately, if you do not place your free product order within the allotted time frame, you will forfeit your free products for that month.

• If your free product total is over the amount you have to spend, you will not be able to pay the difference. Your order must be submitted under or at the amount to which you are entitled.

• Free product will expire at the end of the next calendar month after it is placed. Therefore, your free products will be available for shipment after the 15th of the month and will only be eligible to ship with an order placed between the 15th and the last day of the following month, otherwise you forfeit your free product.

• Consultant/Hostess Specials and Business Essentials cannot be chosen as free products. Only Retail Products can be chosen as free products.

Anniversary Bonus• Your Anniversary Bonus will be applied to all sales orders during the

same month of your qualifying date.

• Your Anniversary Bonus may not be combined with any other additional retail discount sale.

• You are only eligible to receive an anniversary bonus if you have maintained active status for the preceding 12 months.

Sponsor Bonus• You earn a sponsor bonus based on the kit your recruit purchases. You

will earn: » $25 for each $250 kit sold » $50 for each $500 kit sold » $100 for each $1,000 kit sold

• Sponsor bonuses will be issued for each new recruit who qualifies within 30 days.

• Your sponsor bonus will be combined with your override check (if applicable) and mailed directly to you on the 15th of the month following your recruit’s qualification.

• The new recruit must meet all qualifications within 30 days for you to qualify for your bonus. The qualifications include: completing the online SCA and placing a $250 qualifying retail order (unless she has purchased a $1,000 kit which will automatically qualify her as long as her SCA was completed online within 30 days).

• 30 days means 30 days from the kit ship date and includes the date on which the kit shipped.

• It is not the corporate office’s responsibility to contact you regarding your new consultant’s qualification. As her sponsor, you must make

sure all procedures are done properly in order to receive the sponsor bonus check.

• Sponsor bonuses will only be paid on a consultant one time. If a consultant becomes inactive and then reactivates, the sponsor will not receive an additional sponsor bonus.

• If a consultant has an outstanding balance with the corporate office, all bonus payments will be withheld for 30 days or until the balance has been paid. If after 30 days the balance still remains unpaid, the bonus(es) will be applied to the unpaid balance.

Consultant Overrides• In order for you to qualify for an override, you must reach a required

monthly retail level of personal sales that correspond with your position by the end of the month. Monthly personal retail sale amounts are based on purchases made before your buying discount.

• You must achieve the monthly retail total, maintain the minimum required number of first and second downline recruits for that position, maintain a good standing with the corporate office and adhere to the Slumber Parties code of conduct to receive a check or credit after the 15th of the following month.

• If your override amount is $49.99 or less, you will receive a credit on your account. This credit can be used toward any orders you place. If the override is $50 or more, you will receive a check in the mail.

• Should you fail to meet the monthly personal retail sales minimum for your position, you will forfeit your override bonus for that month.

• If a consultant in your first or second level downline drops out, their immediate recruits will roll up to you. These are now considered rollups in your downline but they are not personal recruits. However, your override on rollups will be at the same percentage as that of personal recruits.

• You will be paid a maximum of 1% on any Select Shoppers in your downline on all three levels for your override.

• You will be paid a maximum of 1% on corporate recruit leads and their teams.

• Override payouts on 4th level downline recruits will only apply to sales beginning on July 1, 2010.


Team Manager Car Allowance• Managers, Sr. Managers, Executives and Sr. Executives who personally

host or co-host one meeting every two consecutive months (meetings must be posted in the events registration section of the Consultant Central website), have at least $40,000 in personal retail sales and $400,000 in group retail sales at year-end and attend both Convention and Annual Training are eligible for a car allowance paid in the form of 12 monthly checks.

• To maintain the Team Manager Car Allowance, consultants must meet the personal Retail sales minimum for their Consultant Position as shown in the Override Percentages Chart. Should you fail to meet the

personal Retail sales minimum for your position, you will forfeit the Team Manager Car Allowance payment for that month.

• If a check issued to you by Slumber Parties is lost or stolen, the corporate office will replace it the first time at no cost. Any additional requests for check reissuance will result in a $30 stop payment fee which will be deducted from your override check. No checks will be reissued after the 90 day void period.


Advisory Board• Advisory Board members are named at the Slumber Parties National

Convention each year.

• Positions are earned based on their sales and recruiting. Below is a list of the Advisory Board tiers and how you can qualify:

» Vip Board: To hold a seat on the VIP Boards, you must have achieved one of the following during the year: 1,200 Convention Credits, $50,000 in personal retail sales with 10 new recruits or have received the Presidential Award.

» Board of achievers: To be a part of the Board of Achievers, you must have made one of the following achievements for the year: 1,800 Convention Credits, $65,000 in personal retail sales with 14 new recruits or have received the Consultant of the Year award.

» sr. Board of achievers: To serve on the Sr. Board of Achievers, you must have served on the Board of Achievers for at least 3 consecutive terms and be one of the top 4 consultants in Convention Credits.

» presidential Board: Members of this board are selected by Company President Kim Brecheen based on merit.

• Advisory Board members are required to attend the Slumber Parties National Convention and National Training to be considered and remain on each board.

• Each Advisory Board member is responsible for making her own travel arrangements and any/all costs associated with attending these two events each year.

Convention Credits• You will earn 10 Convention Credits for every $1,000 in retail

purchases per calendar month.

• Retail totals are not carried over to the next month. All monthly cut-off days are at midnight (CST) on the last day of each month.

• If your retail total for one month reaches $8,000+, you earn an additional 20 Convention Credits for that month.

• For every new consultant you recruit who qualifies within 30 days, you will earn:

» 10 credits for each $250 kit sold » 15 credits for each $500 kit sold » 20 credits for each $1,000 kit sold » Slumber Parties will DOUBLE your Recruiting Convention Credits for the month if two or more women you recruit qualify the same calendar month!

• Retail totals are evaluated every individual calendar month to determine Convention Credits. (Note: Retail totals are NOT carried over to the next month.)

• All monthly cut-off days are at midnight (CST) on the last day of each month.

• The requirements for qualification must be met before credits are issued.

• Convention Credits will not be paid on previous consultants purchasing a new kit.

• If you fall to Select Shopper status, you will lose any earned Convention Credits.

General Contest Ruleseligibility• Consultants must be active in order to be eligible to receive a prize.

• In order to count towards recruiting contests, your recruits must purchase their kit and qualify within the time frame of the contest.

• Corporate recruit leads, any rollups or recruits of rollups are not considered personal recruit leads and, therefore, will not be included for consideration for recruiting prizes, trips, awards, position advancement or any other incentives.

general regulations for all awards, Prizes and contests• Some year-end awards are given out on an individual basis. Others are

based on state or even region. Slumber Parties consultants are divided into four regions based on states. Your region not only determines your Regional Administrator but also the area in which you will compete with other consultants in regional contests.

• You can earn tickets throughout the year. These tickets will be used at Convention for a chance to play for prizes. For each $5,000 in retail products you purchase each month, you will receive a ticket. As an additional bonus, beginning with your 7th qualified recruit in 2010, you will receive one extra ticket for each recruit who qualifies in 2010.

• The following rules and regulations will be in effect during each year’s awards, benefits and contest period. All rules and qualifications are subject to change at the discretion of the corporate office.

• The Slumber Parties corporate office reserves the right to make decisions regarding final interpretations of rules, regulations and qualifications and the eligibility of all final prizes, bonuses and trips awarded to consultants.

• Information regarding active consultant qualifications, retail sales information and promotion or contest rules given to a consultant verbally by the corporate office shall not be considered a binding agreement between Slumber Parties, Inc. and a consultant, nor will Slumber Parties be held responsible or accountable for any verbal agreement between corporate office and a consultant.

• No exceptions or extensions of contest deadlines will be granted for mail delays, weather conditions, interruption of internet access or any other reasons.

• Slumber Parties reserves the right to verify new consultant information and activity. Falsifying new recruit information or orders

for the purposes of earning a contest, consultant position, etc. will be cause for termination.

• The awards and incentive contest period is from 12:00 a.m. (CST), January 1st through 11:59 p.m. (CST), December 31st.

• When submitting orders to the corporate office, if the order must arrive by a deadline for monthly personal retail sales or any other contest, it is best not to submit the order at the last minute online, by telephone or fax.

• All prizes or awards are nontransferable. The winning consultant may not give the prize or trip away to another person or request cash in lieu of a prize. If a consultant cannot travel during the specified trip dates, an alternate prize will not be awarded.

• Trips awarded where a guest may travel with you are restricted to guests who are not nor have ever been a Slumber Parties consultant.

• Should returns or adjustments occur in the months subsequent to winning a contest, Slumber Parties reserves the right to deem the consultant ineligible. Meaning, if you place a large order at the end of June and refuse that order in July, you will be ineligible for the contest. Personal retail sales are based on orders placed, paid in full and accepted.

Yearly Consultant Cruise and Other Awarded Trips• The position you are qualified for as of 11:59 p.m. CST on December

31st will be the position you compete in for all end-of-year contests.

• At least half of the new active consultants you recruited that are required to earn a consultant incentive trip must be active at the time the promotion ends to be considered to qualify the consultant for the trip.

• Incentive trip departure date, destination and itinerary are subject to availability. Slumber Parties reserves the right to alter original arrangements where appropriate.

• Slumber Parties is not responsible for transportation delays or irregularities and does not offer compensation for either.

• Trips are nontransferable. The original winner must be one of the travelers.

• The yearly consultant cruise is for consultant only. Consultants are not allowed to bring guests on the trip.

• Slumber Parties reserves the right to select the departure and arrival airports for all incentive trips.

• The following expenses are not covered by Slumber Parties for trip winners: insurance of any kind, medical expenses, parking fees, child care, telephone/Internet/Fax charges, mileage, transportation to and from the departure airport or any other miscellaneous costs.

• If a winner chooses not to take a portion of the planned trip itinerary, Slumber Parties will not issue compensation for the unused portion. Should changes in trip plans affect Slumber Parties’ contractual agreement with the travel firms, alterations will not be allowed. If a trip winner wishes to alter the original trip itinerary in any way, Slumber Parties is not responsible for any costs associated with the changes. Balance due for approved trip alterations, additional costs or buy-ins must be paid in full before arrangements can be confirmed and tickets released by Slumber Parties.

• Slumber Parties will not reimburse trip winners or issue alternate prizes should the individual become unable to attend the trip. Trip winners must travel with Slumber Parties during the planned trip dates; winners are not allowed to travel at alternate times or request an alternate prize.

• Some incentive trip destinations require a valid passport for travelers. Trip winners are responsible for obtaining a valid passport before trip departure. Please allow ample time for passport processing as delays are possible.

• All rooms on yearly consultant cruise are double occupancy rooms with an assigned Slumber Parties consultant as a roommate.

Quarterly Contests• The position held on the first day of the contest will be the position

used to determine any potential prize(s).

• If an individual begins the contest period at the Manager position or higher and drops to Sr. Consultant or Consultant position, she will not be eligible for a contest offered to Consultants or Sr. Consultants.

• To be eligible to earn a Consultant or Sr. Consultant incentive, an individual must meet minimum personal retail sales. The sales minimums will be published with each contest.

National Convention/National Training• For National Convention and National Training, all contest winners must

remain active to earn and receive their prizes.

• Consultants must register (using the Slumber Parties group rate code) and stay at the Slumber Parties designated Convention/Training hotel for the duration of the event in order to attend.

• For the National Convention Awards Ceremony prize games, all recruits that earn you a ticket for the game must be qualified within 30 days. Additionally, to participate in the games, you must be registered for National Convention before the cut-off deadline, you must be active and you must stay in the designated National Convention hotel throughout the entire event.

Personal Websites• You may advertise your Slumber Parties business and personal

website on the following social networking sites: MySpace, Friendster, Facebook and Twitter. On these sites you are allowed to advertise yourself as a consultant, mention the Slumber Parties website, post a link to your Slumber Parties personal website, post a picture of your business card, post Slumber Parties’ commercials, videos and a Slumber Parties’ calendar of events.

• Orders placed on your Slumber Parties website will be processed through the corporate office. The only exceptions are any orders associated with a party set up through your Party Management System.

• For non-Party Management System orders placed through your personal website, you will receive an immediate commission credit to your account. The order will be shipped to the customer at no charge to you. Once the order has shipped, you can use the credit on your account to purchase any items.

• For all consultant positions, if the product order total (not including any taxes or shipping) is less than or equal to $19.99, you will receive a 10% commission on the order.

• For Consultant and Sr. Consultant positions, if the product order total is greater than or equal to $20, you will receive a 25% commission on the order.

• For positions that are Manager and above, if the product order total is greater than or equal to $20, you will receive a 40% commission on the order.

• Website orders placed by your customers on your personal website do not count toward your retail or Consultant/Hostess Specials totals for the month.

• When an order is placed on the main Slumber Parties website or on another consultant’s personal website, you will not receive any credits for those purchases and the corporate office cannot reverse the order. If you would like to receive credits for your customers purchasing products online, make sure the customer uses your personal website; otherwise, you will not receive any credits.

• Every qualified, active consultant is eligible for a personal website.

• Every year, one calendar month prior to the anniversary of setting up your website, you will incur a $30 renewal fee. This will be issued to your account as a chargeback.

• In order to set up your own Slumber Parties website, the following criteria must be met: you must be a qualified and active consultant, have a Slumber Parties e-mail address, be in good financial standing with the corporate office and have no unresolved complaints.

• All site domain names are formatted as www.slumberpartiesbyyourname.com, and can be selected through the Personal Website set up page on Consultant Central.

• All domain name requests through Consultant Central will be processed on a first come, first served basis. If your name is already taken, we will contact you regarding your desired name on the site.

• Slumber Parties manages each consultant personal website domain name and will automatically renew it annually.

• All new domains incur a $30 setup fee which will be issued to your account as a chargeback.

• When setting up your website, if you are unable to upload your photo, you can submit a professional photo (4x5, 5x5, or 5x7 head shot) to your Regional Administrator and a $25 servicing fee will be applied to you account.

• If you submit all of your setup website information (including your bio and other required information) via standard mail instead of online, an $85 fee will be applied to your account to set up your personal website.

• Any consultant, who no longer wishes to have a personal website when it becomes time for her annual $30 website renewal, can contact [email protected] to deactivate her personal website.

• When a website is deactivated, we cannot issue a credit for a domain renewal fee after the month the charge was applied has ended.

• For websites that have been setup and then deactivated before the consultant has had the website for a full year, the $30 setup fee cannot be credited back. The reversal of the $30 only applies to renewals applied during the same calendar month of being charged.

• Once a consultant’s website has been deactivated, her website domain will be available for other consultants to set up as their own.

• After a consultant has deactivated her personal website, if at any point in the future she desires to have a personal website again, she will be assessed a $30 setup fee and will need to go through selecting a personal website domain and setting it up the website again.

Party Leadsto qualify for Party leads:• You must be an active (qualified) consultant.

• You must be in good standing with the corporate office.

• You must have daily access to a computer with internet capabilities.

• You must maintain a minimum of $500 in retail sales within each 30-day period.

• You must carry enough stock and lingerie so that all (or most) of the guests at every party can take home their purchases that night.

• You must have attended a Party Lead Training. Note: Party Lead training is available during National Convention and National Training each year.

Health Insurance • In reference to any health insurance coverage or any other insurance

needs acquired through our insurance broker, Slumber Parties has no direct involvement with obtaining your insurance quotes or coverage.

• Any and all questions about insurance needs, quotes or coverage options need to be directed to the insurance broker directly.

• The online portal and contact information for the Slumber Parties’ insurance broker may be found in the Slumber Parties Handbook via Consultant Central.
