Non diegetic and diegetic sounds are used for example the Narrator's commentary and the background music are non-diegetic sounds and the screams and chain saw would all count as diegetic sounds.

The mise-en- scene used shows that the women are seen as sexual object in the eyes of men as they are mostly displayed revealing themselves. The trailer presents a medium shot of a woman excluding her head and only displays her bare bum this indicates that men are only interested in them for sexual purposes and this is the only thing they notice in a woman.

The killer is always displayed from a low angle to make him look superior. The male gaze is literally shown as we see two boys spying on the semi- naked girls.
