Sjogren Industries has achieved a solid reputation in the industry by delivering to our customers the highest quality products, designed and built by an outstanding engineering team. Our founder, Oscar Sjogren, left Sweden in the early 1920s and started Sjogren Industries shortly after his arrival in the United States of America. After more than 80 years, the family tradition of providing the highest quality machinery, tooling and auxiliary equipment to the wire industry still continues today.
Committed to the Satisfaction of our Customers
Sjogren Industries enjoys an excellent reputation for the development and sales of a wide product range of straightening tools and accessories for the wire industry. The fact that we have been manufacturing for a long time while consistently using the highest quality materials and equipment has contributed to our reputation. At Sjogren we are committed to the satisfaction of our customers worldwide. Whether our customers require standard or custom made products, Sjogren makes the difference:
Solutions Driven from the Start
Sjogren Industries has recently introduced the use of Application Data Sheets as a means of serving our customers better. This will ensure the delivery of an appropriate solution to any technical problem on the process line in the quickest and easiest way and avoid a lot of back and forth. Application Data Sheets are available to be filled out on sjogren.com. By completing the required sheet of information and submitting it, Sjogren engineers can immediately begin working on a resolution to your problem that is specific to your need and in line with your technical process.

POINTER / DIE STRINGER
This machine is designed for the wire drawing industry to provide easier stringing of the wire dies used for sizing of .025” to .188” diameters. This model can be supplied as a benchtop unit or on a rolling pedestal (optional), as shown. Another optional feature is the “hand pointer” unit, also shown (hydraulics can also be added). Other custom features can be incorporated, as needed by the customer. This unit is a time saving device and can greatly improve the efficiency of your operation. It also has a safety cover (not shown) to protect your operator. When the guard is open or

need. This benchtop unit can coil your wire like a spring so you can check for cracks and fractures. Size range from .050” to .375”. It has a constant speed, adjustable chuck, wire guide assembly mounted to a sliding carriage, interlocked guards and an electrical control panel. It is also supplied with a wire bender.
TORSION TWIST TESTER
This machine is ideal for testing your wire for brittleness, inclusions, hidden seams or other flaws. There are three different models for diameters of .010” up to .750”. It features a fully programmable counter with automatic forward and/or reverse capability. It has 12 possible twisting programs with memory of the complete cycle. It includes a digital display, positive holding chucks with replaceable jaws, and an interlocked guard. The constant tension is provided by use of weights (5, 10, & 20 lbs). An automatic broken wire switch will stop all machine function and all pertinent data will be maintained.

The Sjogren hysteresis brakes are used to provide controlled tension or torque during spooling, unwinding, tightening or other similar machine operations. The rugged brakes provide constant torque regardless of the rotation speed. They ensure smooth startup and uniform movements even as the diameters change. The brakes operate according to the principle of permanent magnetic dual disks hysteresis. Units can be used for powertrain overload protection.
hysteresis brakes are available with and without feedback control. The feedback control operates via a rocker arm which follows the unwinding spool for changes to its diameter and thereby automatically decreases the torque setting. Reducing the torque setting automatically will maintain a constant line tension from full to empty spool during payoff.
