Context -: India will hold the

second edition of joint hackathon

with Singapore, the ‘Singapore India

Hackathon 2019’ at IIT Madras on

Sep 28 and 29, 2019.

First edition -: The 1st edition of

the Singapore India Hackathon was

held at NTU, Singapore in November,

2018, based on the theme ‘Smart

Campus’.

संस्करण का आयोजन करेगा, ससंगापुरर्ारत हैकथॉन 2019 Mad ससतम्बर 28

The Fuel Cells developed are based on

High Temperature Proton Exchange

Membrane (HTPEM) Technology.

The development is most suitable for

distributed stationary power

applications like; for small offices,

commercial units, data centers etc.;

where highly reliable power is essential

with simultaneous requirement for air-

conditioning.

This system will also meet the

requirement of efficient, clean and

reliable backup power generator for

telecom towers, remote locations and

strategic applications as well.

This development would replace Diesel

Generating (DG) sets and help reduce

India’s dependence on crude oil

Basic Fuel Cell

A fuel cell is a device which

produces electric energy,

through a chemical reaction.

Fuel cells use positively

charged ion(Hydrogen) and an

oxidising agent (oxygen).

There are many types of fuel

cells, but they all consist of a

cathode,an anode, and an

electrolyte that allows

positively charged( hydrogen)

ions to move between the two

sides of the fuel cell

they differ from batteries as they require the

continuous supply of fuel.

And both battery and fuel cell produce direct current

(D.C). the first fuel cell was used by NASA in its

satellites and space capsules.

Fuel cells can be used for power backup in commercial

and residential buildings.

Voluntary Code of EthicsContext -:Internet & Mobile Association of India

(IAMAI) on behalf of its members has

agreed to observe the “Voluntary Code

of Ethics” during all future elections

including the ongoing General Elections

to the Haryana & Maharashtra

Need of VCE -:Fake news affects voting behaviour in a

big way and right now, the only

mechanism is Section 126 and EC

instructions on paid news. We have

to bring in a robust mechanism for

The highlighted features of “Voluntary

Code of Ethics” are as follows

Social Media platforms will voluntarily

undertake information, education and

communication campaigns to build

awareness including electoral laws and

other related instructions.

Social Media platforms have created a

high priority dedicated grievance

redressel channel for taking expeditions

action on the cases reported by the ECI.

Social Media Platforms and ECI have

developed a notification mechanism by

this ECI can notify the relevant

platforms of potential violations of

Section 126 of the R.P. Act, 1951 and

other electoral laws.

the harvesting of paddy and

emission of harmful gases such

carbon diaoxide, sulphur dioxide,

nitrogen dioxide along with

particulate matter.

The Chabahar Agreement was signed in

June 2015 and approved by Iran’s

Guardian Council in November 2016.

Anti-Defection Law It refers to the 'Aaya Ram, Gaya

Ram' culture, a phrase coined after

Haryana MLA Gaya Lal changed his

party twice in one day and thrice

within a fortnight in 1967.

In response to this, Rajiv Gandhi’s

government brought anti-defection

law to prevent such political

defections in the year 1985.

The purpose of this mini-legislation

within the constitution is to create a

deterrent for any kind of defections

and it prescribes disqualification for

doing so.

Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was

December 1985.

The idea of regional cooperation in

South Asia was first raised in

November 1980. After

consultations, the foreign

secretaries of the seven founding

countries—Bangladesh, Bhutan,

India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan,

and Sri Lanka—met for the first

time in Colombo in April 1981.
