                       THE PRESENT ENVIRONMENT

• Sweeping changes have brought about a paradigm shift in the landscape of education.

• With so much talk of education reform, the day of reckoning is here. This is a defining moment in the history of education.

 • Our education system is becoming more decentralized in

terms of transferred authority from the centre to schools, giving them greater autonomy.

• As we enter a new era of accountability, we need to bring our school system into the 21st century.

• The challenges ahead of educators are formidable.  A great degree of responsibility and accountability is called for from schools and teachers.

• Assessment and accreditation essentially aims at institutional capacity building for continuous quality improvement through self-analysis and self-monitoring of quality enhancement processes

• Assessment and accreditation provides an incentive for self-study and self improvement.

PHASE I1. All team members have gmail accounts and are part of R N Podar

Google Group2. All team members have seen the Google Docs Tutorial3. The entire team has planned on Google Calendar4. The team is creating and sharing all work on Google Docs5. All Programs of Work prepared on Google Docs and shared by all staff 6. All schedules of worksheets, activities, exam  cycles, dates for

completion etc. prepared on Google Docs

PHASE II

1. All Lesson Plans/Presentations created and shared on Google Docs2. All team members have own personal virtual (classroom) sites3. All students and/or parents have access to their Virtual Classrooms4. All communication done through Cloud Computing5. At least one collaborative project done by every team member6. At least one collaborative project done by every student
