CG Lucy is the largest manufacturer of SF6 gas insulated Vacuum RMU in India. With near total population in many metro’s, our RMU’s make the metro’s of India to glow with reliable power.

Oil RMU’s is another most sought product not only in India, but also in the South Asian countries, especially in Malaysia. This is an economical & highly reliable product which uses HT Fuse links immersed in the Oil chamber.

MULTI CIRCUIT RANGE (MCR)

MCR is a versatile SF6 insulated Vacuum Ring Main Unit – a combination of vacuum circuit breaker unit and fault-make load break switches (Ring switch / Isolators).

With front cable terminations, the system is highly compact and well protected with Pad-lock, interlock & earthingfacilities.

Low gas operating pressure - 0.5 Bar

Pressure indicator and SF6 recharging facility.

Gas pressure relief diaphragm for internal arcing.

Low Temperature rise of Busbars , hence no derating of switches at ambient of 45 to 50 Deg C.

CB Earthing through Vacuum Interrupters hence full rating for earthing circuit.

Operational Safety - We have tested our RMU with ZERO gas pressure for satisfactory electrical performance.

Stainless Steel Tank: SS is the most preferred material for Gas Insulated System because of its high resistance to corrosive and humid atmosphere.

Extensibility: RMU is extensible on both sides. This feature give greater flexibility to Utility’s planning department to plan future extensions.

Outdoor Application: RMU is suitable for outdoor application. It is IP54 tested. This prevents construction of extra room to house the switchgear.

Gas leakage - For a SF6 Insulated VCB type RMU, the chances of Vacuum bottle leaking and SF6 gas leakage from chamber, simultaneously are very rare. Hence in VCB type RMU provides a double protection scheme.

Features – Vacuum Dielectric Medium

Ionization of Gas: Since fault is broken in Vacuum Interrupter, the SF6 gas is not polluted.

Constant dielectric: There is no gas decomposition products in vacuum and hermetically sealed vacuum interrupter keep out all environmental effects.

Electrical life: Vacuum interrupters, have longer electrical life, duties exceeding IEC limits / requirements.

High total current switched: Since the contact piece erosion is small, rated normal current can be interrupted more than 20000 times and rated shortcircuit breaking current on average a hundred times.
