Košice peace Marathon has been marked by media and essential personalities as the most signifi cant sport and social event of the year 2014.

THE EVENT OF THE YEAR


High-ranking representatives of the world marathon movement attracted massive media attention.

Saturday Gala program evocated wave of positive emotions and great feedback.

PLEID OF THE GUESTS


Brand new short fi lm had its premiere on the night before the marathon in front of the 400 invited guests for Marathon Gala evening 1924 – 2014.

Over 100 media outputs during last 30 days before the marathon is a result of targeted activities focused mainly on the 5 press conferences during September and October 2014.

PRCAMPAIGNS


Advertising campaign starting September 1 until October 5, 2014 (TV, radio, print, on-line and outdoor) reached its media value of almost 100 000 EUR.

MEDIACAMPAIGN


The annual increase of the participants might have been even higher but the need for defi ned limit brought this result.

THE 8%GROWTH


Over 32% out of all participants were women. All together there were app. 3 300 of them through all the disciplines. Their share increased annualy by 5,4%.

This year results of the winners were the best ones among the overall history of the event. As a result Košice Marathon ranked among Europe´s top ten.
