Annual water consumption on the globe for all types of water supply amounts to 3300-3500 billion m³.

Most part of water after using it for domestic needs is returned to the rivers as wastewater.

The main sources of pollution and contamination of water bodies are insufficiently treated waste water of industrial and municipal enterprises, large breeding complexes, production wastes in the mining of ore minerals, waters of mines, processing and alloy of timber; water dropping of water and rail transport, wastes of primary processing of flax, pesticides and etc.

Today the numerous methods of water purification have developed - mechanical filtration, hydrocyclone filtration, ozonation, hydrocavitation processing, acoustic treatment, UV treatment, passing an electric current, biochemical supplements, X-ray treatment, the shock waves, chlorination, UV and X-ray treatment.

But the application of most of the specified methods are not sufficiently effective or implies the use of harmful substances for human body.

1. The description of the problem on which decision the project is aimed to:

Page 3: Plazma pro technology full presentation

Experimental confirmation of the effectiveness of the method: High efficiency of discharge bactericidal impact: o on E. coli (reduction to 10 times the initial content): ɳ ≤ 10-4 kWh / liter.o on coliphages: ɳ ≤ 5 10-5 kWh / liter.o on Christjsporidium (bacterial species, resistant to chlorine).

Almost complete (~ 100%) water treatment of parahlorfenolovand pentachlorophenol, efficiency:

ɳ ≤ 2 10-3 – 2 10-2 kWh / liter.

Almost complete (~ 100%) expansion of pesticides admixture, efficiency: ɳ ≈ 2 10-3 kWh / liter.

According to analysis of the Certification Control and Analytical Center (MSU), the quality of the treated water on indicators of (the color of water, turbidity, indicator pH, the presence of ammonia, Fe, Pb, Cr, fluorine, chlorine, nitrates and sulfates) completely satisfies the EU standards.

During the 12-24 hours after treatment of chrome-acid waste metal is almost completely precipitated. The content of other metals decreases in a few times. Positive results on the decomposition of petroleum products contained in water are obtained.

2. The description of proposed problem solution and its advantages:

As a result of processing the contents of bacteria and viruses in water decreased to

European standards requirements

The project presents the plasma chemical wastewater treatment technology, based on the exposure of electrodischarge plasma forming in a fluid by high-voltage pulse-periodic discharge using a specially developed technique and equipment .

Page 6: Plazma pro technology full presentation

The technology is an electrodischarge plasma processing of flowing water in a specially designed multi-electrode discharge device with the injection of gas into the interelectrode space.Constructive solution allows effectively affect on bacterial, organic and chemical pollutants in water due to electrodischarge plasma forming in a fluid by high-voltage pulse-periodic discharge.

Technology Features: Excitation of the discharge in gas bubbles High degree of contact between the plasma and the liquid Does not use reagents Relatively easy adaptability to existing systems of water

purification and water preparation Design of discharge device eliminates the main drawback

of known electrical discharge treatment systems, lies in their relatively small lifetime because of destruction plasma-forming electrodes.

Lifetime of electrodes exceeds 1000 hours of continuous operation

3. The description of basic project technology:

Scheme of electrodischarge system of clearing and sterilization of water

Page 7: Plazma pro technology full presentation

Complex simultaneous synergistic exposure on chemical, bacterial and organic pollutants

Minimal power inputs on the plasma excitation

High cleaning efficiency due to high degree of coupling of the plasma and water

Low energy cost of the cleaning process: from 6 Wh/m3 to 80 Wh/m3 (depending on the type and degree of contamination)

High lifetime of electrodes (≥1000 hours of continuous operation)

Device retains the efficiency when working with turbid fluids and water of high conductivity

Simplicity of construction and manufacturing, a relatively low cost price
