Physical Aspect

0eredity and environment determine

This aspect of personality has to

Schizoid Personality Disorder. Schi9oid

personalities are introverted, withdrawn,

solitary, emotionally cold, and distant. Paranoid Personality Disorder. The

essential feature for this type of personalitydisorder is interpretin" the actions of others as

deliberately threatenin" or demeanin". Schizotypal Personality Disorder. A

pattern of peculiarities best describes thosewith schi9otypal personality disorder.

Antisocial Personality Disorder. People with

antisocial personality disorder characteristically

act out their con@icts and i"nore normal rules ofsocial behavior.

Borderline Personality Disorder. People withborderline personality disorder are unstable inseveral areas, includin" interpersonalrelationships, behavior, mood, and self-ima"e.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Peoplewith narcissistic personality have ane4a""erated sense of self-importance.

Avoidant Personality Disorder. Avoidant

personalities are often hypersensitive to re&ection

and are unwillin" to become involved with othersunless they are sure of bein" lied.

Dependent Personality Disorder. People withdependent personality disorder may e4hibit apattern of dependent and submissive behavior,

relyin" on others to mae decisions for them. Osessive!"o#pulsive Personality Disorder.

$ompulsive personalities are conscientious andhave hi"h levels of aspiration, but they also strivefor perfection.
