Remind101 provides a safe way for teachers to text message students and stay in touch with parents.

It is 100% free and is used by over 500,000 teachers, students and parents to send millions of messages every month.

THE FIRST STEP: CREATING AN ACCOUNT

For this class we will have each learner create an account using the Remind 101 website. You can later download the app to your phone or tablet.

Open a new window in your internet server and type in the following address:www.remind101.com

JOIN:Once on the website, fill out the registration screen and then click sing up.

GET STARTED: ADD YOUR FIRST CLASS

You will create one class to begin with in order to become accustom to the idea of Remind 101. Select a class name enter into the rectangle and then click Add.

The example is my class for Creekside PE Students and Parents.

NOW GRAB YOUR PHONE AND SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR CLASS! Remind 101 will create a unique phone # and code for you to use

with your class. Simply give this # and code to your students and/or parents and they will be able to subscribe to your class.

Simply have students/parents text your unique code to the number and they will be added to your class.

DON’T WORRY

The only phone number that your students or parents will see is the Remind 101 phone number that was generated for your account. Your personal phone number will never be released to students. And you will not have there phone numbers!

MESSAGING!Send your class a sample message! Simply type in to the box what you wish to say and click send!

You should receive the message that you send on your own phone, since you are a subscriber to the class!

You will receive weekly hints about Remind 101 and other technology updates.

Each faculty member who subscribes will receive 30 minutes additional planning time. 30 minutes will be covered by support staff and must be marked on calendar at least one week in advance.
