Feb. 21 •Lea Ruggles, 54, of Merino, was driving a 2014 Ford Taurus east in the 300 block of Main Street directly in front of a 2015 Jeep Latitude driven by Mary Wertz, 53, of Potter, Neb. Ruggles reported she was going to park at the south side of the road in diagonal parking. Wertz reported thinking Ruggles was entering a left turn lane. Ruggles turned right to park as Wertz was driving past the Taurus on the right side to enter a through lane at the intersection. The front right of the Taurus collided with the left front of the Jeep, resulting in moderated damage to both vehicles. Ruggles was injured in the accident. •Brady Alan Baer, 20, of Sterling, was issued a summons for Disturb- ing The Peace and Underage Poss- ession and Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage. •Joshua Mark Fiscus, 20, of Sterling, was issued a summons at 12:50 a.m. in the 100 block of Bannock Street for Disturbing The Peace. Feb. 20 •Jaime Anthony Castillo, 44, of Sterling, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. in the 200 block of North Third Avenue on charges of Theft more than $50, but less Than $300 and First Degree Criminal Trespass. Feb. 19 •Cassidy Wade Sullivan, 32, of Sterling, was arrested at 6:47 p.m. in the 1300 block of Adams Circle on charges of Felony Menacing and Violation of a Restraining Order. •Jennifer Lynn Ogley, 35, of Sterling, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. in the 100 block of South Front Street on charges of Harassment With Intent To Annoy/Alarm/Harass, Domestic Violence and Third Degree Assault. •Christopher Lee Veenendaal, 41, of Sterling, was issued a summons at 4:50 p.m. for Disturbing the Peace - No Injury. Feb. 18 •Police served a warrant to Joshua David Minton at the Logan County Jail at 8:45 a.m. for Third Degree Assault with a bond of $5,000. Feb. 16 •James Conour, 57, of Sterling, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban south in the 100 block of North Fourth Street and Megan Smith, 23, of Sterling, was driving a 2008 Ford Escape east in the 400 block of Main Street. The two vehicles collided when Smith’s vehicle entered the intersection in a green light and Conour’s Suburban reportedly failed to stop for a red light. No injuries were reported. Feb. 15 •At 6:42 a.m., police received a report of burglary and criminal mischief that occurred in the 100 block of Chestnut Street at 4 p.m. Feb. 12. A snack shop vending machine valued at $1,500 vandalized, and $40 in change and a Milwaukee drill and impact driver valued at $200 stolen. •At 3:50 p.m., police investigated an apparent burglary attempt at a business in the 200 block of Edwards Avenue. Scratch marks were found at the front door of the business. There was no actual damage to the door. Authorities note there have been numerous burglaries and thefts in that area recently. •Police received a report of two parkas, three shirts, three blankets, two Garmin GPS systems, Panasonic headphones and three wiper blades stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of East Broadway Street between 10 a.m. Feb. 13 and 12 p.m. Feb. 15. Feb. 14 •Police received a report of Identity Theft involving the unauthorized transaction of $588.72 from an account that occurred Feb. 14. Feb. 13 •Police received a report of First Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft and Criminal Mischief involving the vandalism of a black Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck parked in the 100 block of North Fourth Street between 12 a.m. Feb. 12 and 10:22 a.m. Feb. 13. Feb. 12 •At 8:34 a.m., police received a report of nine tools valued at $1,755 taken from a trailer parked in the 500 block of Lincoln Street between 6 p.m. Feb. 11 and 8:34 a.m. Feb. 12. Logan County Sheriff’s Office Feb. 22 •At 1:35 p.m., Cassidy Sullivan, 33, was arrested on a Failure To Comply warrant and booked into Logan County Jail. Feb. 21 •At 11 a.m., deputies were dis- patched to the 18000 block of County Road 24 in reference to a burglar alarm. •At 1:40 p.m., deputies observed an open door at the Western Power Sub Station and secured the building. Feb. 20 •At 8:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 43.5 and C.R. 38 regarding a vehicle rollover. •At 5 p.m., Ellen Heintz, 37, was arrested on five warrants and booked into Logan County Jail. •At 8:54 p.m., deputies responded to a structure fire on Grove Street. Feb. 19 •At 12:35 p.m., deputies conducted a building search at a building with an open door at Highway 61 and Highway 6. •At 5:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Roads 31 and 24 regarding a possible hazardous waste dump site. Feb. 18 •Jason Oliver, 44, was arrested at 3:12 a.m. on several driving violations and booked into Logan County Jail. Feb. 17 •At 1 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Fleming Schools in reference to a theft. Feb. 16 •At 1:50 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 26 and Edith Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle accident. •At 11:40 a.m., deputies were dis- patched to the 700 block of Hereford Avenue regarding vandalism. Feb. 15 •At 9:40 a.m., Ryan Curtis, 27, was arrested on a Failure To Appear warrant and booked into Logan County Jail. •At 8:05 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 20200 block of Elwood Street in Sterling regarding a stolen vehicle. •At 7:25 a.m., deputies assisted Sterling Police at Trinidad Benham Company with a possible burglary in progress. •At 4:55 a.m., deputies responded to the Reata Travel Stop in reference to a fight on the bus. •At 2:03 a.m., deputies made contact with two suspicious people after abandoning a vehicle in the 100 block of North Third Avenue.
