    Kabalo gyud

    O uy kabalo

    kaayo.

    Bipolar man

    ang akoang

    sakit.

    Cannot

    maintain eye

    contact

    I had already

    viewed the

    patients chart

    before having

    the interaction

    with the patient.

    Having the idea

    that his

    diagnosis is

    SchizophreniaUndifferentiated,

    I pity the patient

    because his

    knowledge about

    his condition is

    Illogical

    Thinking

    The patient

    concluded that he

    has Bipolar

    Disorder but

    when asked how

    he got such idea,

    he said that he

    just knows it and

    just concluded the

    condition just byhimself without

    any consultation

    and confirmation

    from his

    physician. Such

    wrong. As a

    student nurse

    interviewing

    him, I asked him

    how did he get

    such idea and I

    asked him to

    elaborate his

    feelings and

    thoughts about

    having Bipolar

    disorder.

    manifestation is

    called Illogical

    Thinking.

    Illogical thinking,

    according to

    Kaplan is a form

    of thinking that

    contains

    erroneous

    conclusions.

    Niana man

    from the

    I felt sad and at

    the same time

    uncomfortable

    knowing that I

    have to ask such

    emotional and

    sensitive topic to

    him. I didnt

    force him to

    answer my

    Suppression Patient

    suppressed details

    about him and his

    brothers

    relationship in the

    past. He didnt

    answer to a

    sensitive topic

    because this may

    question because

    it seems that my

    question is too

    sensitive for

    him. This

    question may

    trigger some

    emotions to him

    and maybe some

    of these

    emotions wont

    be very pleasing.

    emotional

    memories from

    the past. He just

    then asked me if

    we could just

    change the topic

    into what he feels

    growing up. He

    said that he feels

    and he already

    knows that he

    doesnt belong to

    a group.

    According to

    Keltner, patient

    was using

    Suppression as

    defence

    mechanism.

    Suppression is

    Conscious

    exclusion of

    unacceptable

    desires, thoughts,

    or memories from

    Looks at an

    empty space

    I personally pity

    the patient

    because of his

    disturbance in

    perception. I

    explored more

    about his answer

    and I asked him

    what they are

    saying to him.

    Auditory

    Hallucination

    Patient verbalized

    hearing voices

    calling out his

    name. Such

    disturbance in

    perception

    wherein there is

    false perception

    of sound, usually

    voices, and also

    noises is called

    AuditoryHallucination.

    Looks away

    from the

    student nurse

    I got very

    disappointed on

    his response. I

    was assuming

    allotted place

    where the

    that he would

    follow my

    instructions but

    he refused it

    because he said

    that he doesnt

    want to move

    from his place

    and that he

    doesnt want to

    know his weight.

    Because, I

    respect his

    decision to

    refuse from

    having taken his

    weight, I didnt

    force him to do

    so but instead I

    just continued

    the interview.

    weighing scale

    was located,

    patient refused to

    be moved from

    his place. He said

    that he doesnt

    want to know his

    weight.

    According to

    Kaplan, patient

    exhibits

    negativism.

    Negativism is the

    motiveless

    resistance to all

    attempts to be

    moved or to all

    instructions.

    contact to the

    student nurse

    nurse tasked to

    interview the

    patient, I was

    pretty confused

    of his answers.

    Basically, I

    thought that he

    would not get

    into his point but

    I still allowed

    him to continue

    answering and I

    waited patiently

    for him to arrive

    to the accurate

    response.

    to my question

    but at first his

    answers were

    very confusing

    and that it didnt

    answer my

    question. But at

    the end, he

    managed to get to

    the appropriate

    answer to the

    question. The

    indirect speech

    that is delayed in

    reaching to the

    point, according

    to Kaplan, is

    Circumstantiality.

    confused;

    looks at the

    empty space

    patient because

    he said that he

    wanted to be an

    accountant but

    when asked to

    subtract 7 from

    93, he could no

    longer answer it

    because he was

    very confused.

    Because I

    wanted to give

    him another

    chance. I asked

    him again to

    subtract 7 from

    93 but still he

    could not give

    an answer to my

    question.

    Concentration patient has

    acquired

    education until

    third year college

    and he said that

    he wanted to be

    an accountant, I

    was assuming that

    he has broad

    knowledge on

    calculations. But

    when asked to

    subtract 7 from

    93, he could not

    give an answer to

    saying that to

    me, I told him to

    elaborate his

    thoughts and

    beliefs about

    Bizarre Delusion Patient really

    believes that

    when he prays in

    a cave, God

    would really grant

    his wish to see

    things which he

    did not see

    before. According

    to Kaplan, such

    Magical Thinking Patient was

    thinking that the

    This disturbance

    in the form of

    thinking

    according to

    Kaplan is called

    Magical thinking.

    Magical thinking

    is when a

    When asked if he

    proudly said that

    he is the leader

    and at times he

    feels like he is

    God. Evidently,

    patient is

    manifesting

    Delusion of

    Grandeur wherein

    Kaplan had

    mentioned that it

    is the exaggerated

    conception of

    ones importance,

    he could not

    recall them. He

    seemed to be

    confused and

    asked me if

    those things

    were vegetables.

    In that very

    instance, I pity

    him because for

    just 3 minutes he

    could no longer

    remember them.

    His inability to

    recall things is

    worse than that

    with my

    grandmother so I

    really pity the

    patient.

    Kaplan, the

    disturbance of

    memory

    manifested by the

    patient is

    Immediate

    Retention. This

    happens when the

    because when he

    Although he had

    question at first,

    I gave him

    numbers, even the

    simplest ones like

    Patient

    According to

    that person has
