Questions

1) What has the photograph been taken for? - the photograph has been taken for a music magazine cover.

2) What type of photography is it and how do you know? – it was taken in the studio and it a mid range shot and I know this because you can see from the knees and above whereas on the second picture it is a long range shot as you can see more of the people.

3) Discuss the framing and what type of shot and angle has been used and why? – we are in the middle of the background and a mid range shot has been used.

4) Discuss the composition – due to the picture being shot in a studio, the background is a plain white background and we are positioned in the middle of the background as we are the main subject.

5) Discuss the focus – there is a sharp focus and the picture is of very good quality compared to the other blurry pictures taken.

6) How has the mis-en-scene been used? - the setting is a studio, a guitar has been used and so has a microphone and we are wearing our own clothes.

7) How does it promote or market the event/product? – when the picture is used on the cover it will be the main focus of the front cover and will prompt people to buy it.

8) How does it appeal to it’s target audience? – fans of the magazine and people who will want to find out about the star will buy it and read it.

9) What story does the photograph tell? – it tells use that they are serious and are ready judging by their facial expressions and body language.

10) How will it make people want to buy your magazine? – it will make them buy it because they will want to find out about the band.
