This is a group of creative, energetic women who share their time and talents with us. We have a few spots that are available for you to get involved. We currently are looking for people to chair: Advertising, Hospitality, Children’s Activities, Community Enrichment and Meeting Coordinator. I cannot stress how important our Board is to the continued success of our group. Without leaders to take on these roles, our group would not be able to exist. I hope all of you will consider becoming involved in one of the positions. It is a great way to meet new people and make new friendships with other Montgomery Moms. GENERAL MEETINGS....Each month we gather, generally the second Tuesday of the month, in Terwilliger Lodge within Dulle Park at 7:30 pm.
Meetings begin with social time, including light snacks and beverages. Feel free to bring a friend and see what being a Montgomery Mom is all about!
Please join us, on April 2, to watch a riviting documentary about the current state of our education system as reseached by one parent in California that wants to make a change to benefit our children.
The film is 1 hour and 25 minutes so we will start promptly at 7:45pm so we can get it in and have a brief discussion afterwards. Featuring the heartbreaking stories of students across the country who have been pushed to the brink by over-scheduling, over-testing and the relentless pressure to achieve, “Race to Nowhere” points to a silent epidemic in our schools.
Through the testimony of educators, parents and education experts, it reveals an education system in which cheating has become commonplace; students have become disengaged; stress-related illness, depression and burnout are rampant; and young people arrive at college and the workplace unprepared and uninspired.

SAVE THE DATE – Spring Couples PartyPlease mark your calendars for Saturday, June 1 for our Spring Couples Party—Montgomery Moms Olympics! We're going to do all kinds of fun stuff; brains, brawn, and the talent to flip cups will all come in handy!!
Each couple will be assigned a country with an award going to best dressed/most spirited. Medals will be handed out for 1-3rd place (sorry no participation awards. There will also be a prize going to the couple with the most awards at the end of the night.
This will be a backyard BBQ & Bonfire at The Erck’s house (address will be in evite). Cost is $10 per couple, main dish & beverages will be provided asking all couples to bring a side dish/app/dessert.
If anyone is interested in helping out, please contact Rebekah Erck.
Book Club.... A fun, lively discussion....Book club will try to meet the third week of each month (with some exceptions).
I will let the host choose the day, time and place. Please let me know if you’d like to host.
We are happy to meet at houses or out and about. We usually start meeting around 7:30 PM but the exact time can be up to the host. Please let Lori Suffield know if you want to get on the book club email list.

OUTREACH NEWS!!!
Congratulations to two of our Moms!!!
Wendy and Jorge welcomed Mateo Edward Anthony de Luis to their family on February 27th of 2013. He arrived at 6:16pm weighing 6 lbs, 6 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. Mateo also joins big sister Sofia!
Anissa and Richard welcomed Caitlyn Marie Cundall on March 13th, 2013. Caitlyn arrived at 11:11pm , weighing 5 lbs, 13 oz. and was 18.5 inches. Caitlyn also joined big sister Elizabeth and big brother Quinn!
We are so excited about our two new additions!
A big thank you goes out to our meal-makers for the month: Kristen Laughlin, Ashley Werthaiser, Winnie Yacker, Debbie Kirby, Kim Murray, Shannon Weinstein, Pam McCallen and Mel Reynolds. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
