Description:Looking for taking awareness about Millennium Development Goals

to high school students, the Project brings students from different countries to discuss the issues and to think about solutions to the world biggest problems. Trough lectures and workshops the interns will take the Millennium Development Goals linked with the current context to students so they can reflect about it. The interns will do researches about the goals, their objectives, contexts and actions. Throughout the collected information they will do a material that can be used at the presentations and as a reference material. The project is included at the national portfolio of Global Citizen Educational Project of Brazil!

Why it’s relevant to Brazil?

Created at 2000 by UN, the goals were made from an

analysis of the world biggest problems. They are 8 objectives that bring a series of concrete commitments that must be accomplished at 2015 in order to improve the humanity destines this century. In Brazil the Millennium Goals are know as 8 ways to change the world. Concretes and measurable, the 8 objectives, with 22 goals and 48 indicators, can be tracked by every people in any country. So that the commitments could be accomplished, the population and its leaders must collaborate. Besides that, the goals can be used as an example and lever to the search of new solutions related to each society potential and conditions.

Job Description:About Millenium

The Project claims to create on the students the conscience that they are future leaders of the world, so they are the ones that can change the world, so they are ambassadors of the Millennium Development Goals.

Department the inter will be working: Public School , 6th to 9th grade.

JobsJob Description 1: The intern will work in groups with other trainees to develop and prepare sessions for the students about the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and how they are connect with our daily life.

Job Description 2: The intern will deliver trainings on the MDGs to the students in order for them to understand the importance of taking an active role in the pursuit of the MDGs.

Job Description 3: The intern will facilitate several professional trainings on facilitation, creativity, etc in order to empower the students to deliver the project, since they are going to be MDGs ambassadors.

Job Description 4: The trainee must apply a composition to the students at the end of the project, so we can check how much the kids learned about the topics given in the workshops, and use it as a report to realize other rounds.

Project In Chapecó With 16 vacancies, the project will run through a partnership with the City

Hall of Chapecó in conjunction with the project "Mais Educação" (More Education). The project will happen in four schools. The working hours are after/before school. The exchanges students will be divided into groups of 4 people for each school.
