Hello there!
Welcome to the new Mellor Ware catalogue! I have been very busy behind the
scenes and can’t wait to show you all the new things inside!
I’ve created new illustrations, new products and new packaging along with keeping
your old favourites! But worry not, if we’re missing your favourite design, just get
in touch and I’ll be happy to make one for you!
Mellor Ware is now no longer reserved for your tea parties - we’ve invaded your
breakfast table and also released a range specially for the little ones in your
life - Mini Mellor Ware!

About Mellor Ware tea setsThe Mellor Ware tea party set is a contemporary alternative to Granny’s “best” teaware. It’s a modern day heirloom to be collected, treasured but most importantly used everyday!
The concept of the range is that you can collect multiple items of chinaware, adding different characters to your own unique tea party set. Each set will then tell your own individual tale of British wildlife having a tea party!
All items are bone china, and are dishwasher and microwave safe. To produce them, they are decorated by hand either in Sheffield or Stoke, using decals of Lianne Mellor’s watercolour illustrations.
The hand finished nature of the pieces means that there might be slight differences between the individual items, which adds to the uniqueness and charm of the collection. No two pieces will ever be identical!
Forest Tea Party(mix and match tea sets)
This range is inspired by the quintessentially British pastimes of afternoon teas, garden parties and quirky dances and the idea that when our backs are turned, foxes, badgers, squirrels and hedgehogs come out in force to act out these very English activities.
It’s almost as if they’ve been watching us have all the fun, and are now joining in in their own way! I wonder what they’ll get up to next!

This tells the tale of two courting foxes, he asks her if she’ll have a dance with him, and she accepts! They then start to dance the night away with a series of fancy moves. I’m not sure if the moves are that of the foxtrot, but I think the foxtrot is the only dance a fox can do!

We think the brown paper packaging contrasts wonderfully with our high quality bone china items and really helps them stand out as a gift!

About Lianne MellorAs Lianne was growing up, her childhood was filled with making dens, drawing pictures and listening to wild and exciting stories. This created an overactive imagination, creating narratives and giving life to the things that surrounded her, from the birds in the garden, to the fish on the counter
at the local market.
She began selling her illustrations while studying for a degree in architecture. In 2009 she graduated and realised that her passion lay with telling stories through watercolour illustrations. Gradually Lianne began to develop a portfolio of drawings into a collection of usable products.
Mellor Ware is now designed in her Sheffield-based studio. She strives to produce products that are not only beautiful, but are also functional for everyday use. Her influences are deeply rooted in the quintessentially British pastimes of afternoon teas, garden parties and quirky dances.
The simplicity of Lianne’s watercolours allows the viewer to create their own narrative for the characters in a collection that is both timeless and contemporary.
