We were lucky that it was a beautiful afternoon so that everyone could participate and have a great time. Thank you to those parents who were able to attend. The children certainly liking having you involved. It was a pleasure to award Molly and Lennard with the Directors Leadership Award for their efforts this year. The children were very surprised and proud to receive these. As mentioned previously, week 5 is Book Week and we have ac- tivities planned including a visit to the Coolamon Library and a Character parade on the Tuesday. Thank you to those families that have already paid in full for the excursion. We will be finalising numbers in the next couple of weeks before making all payments. The excursion is certainly coming up very quickly and the children are very excited about our trip away. Next week Mrs O’Neill will be at school for Tuesday and Wednes- day whilst I am away. Over the last week we have been working with the children on making positive comments to each other. On a Monday and Fri- day morning the children have to make comments and ask about what others did on the weekend so that we feel valued and im- portant. We had an interesting discussion last week about bully- ing and the children were all surprised and shocked about some of my personal experiences with bullying when I was a student at school (a couple of years ago!!). As a result of our discussions I have been noticing a change in some students on how they react and talk to others. David Adamson.
