Marrar Woorn Apollo Bay Neighbourhood House What’s happening at Marrar Woorn NEW PROGRAM APOLLO BAY – ASSISTING YOUNG PEOPLE TO GAIN THEIR LICENCE The L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program is an excing free program available to 16 - 20 year olds ,living in the Apollo Bay who are facing significant barriers in gaining the 120 hours of driving experience needed to take the probaonary licence test. The L2P assists learners under 21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain the driving experience required to apply for a probaonary licence. Young people are matched with fully licensed volunteer mentors and have access to use a sponsored vehi- cle to gain supervised driving experience. L2P is free for eligible young people and is funded by the Victorian Government Transport Accident Commission and local community businesses, organisaons and sporng clubs who sponsor the program. L2P Mentors Apollo Bay program L2P is currently seeking volunteers to supervise learner drivers. Here is your opportunity to contribute to a safer community by men- toring local young people who really need your support. All new volunteers complete VicRoads developed training to learn how to supervise learner driv- ers in the L2P program. A mentor training program will be conducted on the 5 th of August at Marrar Woorn. Marrar Woorn Painng As you will all be aware our house has been closed for two weeks to paint internally and it looks wonder- ful.
