On Saturday, October 1, Max India Foundation along with its partners and well-wishers, gathered to celebrate life and “Triumph over Cancer” in its signature event ‘Celebrate Me’, a fund raiser for underprivileged Cancer patients.

17 brave women and four young children who fought their battles and triumphed over cancer proudly walked the ramp in Reva Kumar and Nidhi Agarwal outfits, the designers who themselves are cancer survivors. The jewellery was provided by Shruti Goenka of Goenka Fine Jewellery who has seen cancer very closely in her family through her mother.

These brave hearts along with the doctors who helped them during their journey against cancer were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Maneka Gandhi, Union Minister for Women & Child Development, Government of India.

An auction of paintings donated by well-wishers was also held on the occasion to raise funds. These included a piece of tribal Gond artwork from Madhya Pradesh which was donated by Smt. Maneka Gandhi for the cause. Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, a cancer survivor himself donated his jersey and cap for the auction.

Max India Foundation was conferred with the Indywood CSR Excellence Award at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad on September 26 as part of the Indywood Film Carnival, which was organized by Indywood and Government of Telangana State.

Rajesh Ramakrishnan, Senior Regional Manager, Max Life Insurance, Hyderabad received the award on behalf of Max India Foundation.
