3. Lexus Customized Magazine

To highlights Lexus’ 22 customizable settings…they partnered with Time Inc. Readers select 5 mags that Time editors will combine into a personalized magazine with 56

possible combinations. The magazine, called “Mine”, is essentially a printed, expanded RSS feed, which is a 5-issue, 10-week experiment. Lexus is the only advertiser, but with personalized messages for each subscriber targeting their interest. When users sign up to the service, they fill out an online survey that means that all of the Lexus ads in the

magazine are tailored to the reader, & will include their name

& where they live.

4. Coca-Cola Happiness Machine

People love free stuff and the new online only video which is part of Coke’s global

“Open Happiness” campaign is testament to that. Set in a college cafeteria, the footage

captures the surprise and delight on the students faces as a magical Coke machine gives away bottle after bottle of free Coke, sunflowers, pizza, balloon animals and an

epically huge six-foot sub!

5. CNN give viewer a tour of Disaster…

Media giant CNN recently offered online viewers more ‘hands-on’ coverage of the Haiti disaster

zone.  Users can access 360° manipulable footage taken at the scene by clicking and dragging their mouse, all whilst the footage is playing.  Some

devastating scenes, with four different sites documented in all.
