price is much cheaper than outside. Students can sing happily
withlesser expenses. This is the priority for students, lecturers
and workers of TaylorsUniversity.15 16. ADVANTAGES OF THE
BUILDINGS1. To build more leisure place for students and lecturers
of Taylors University. Besides sports, students and lecturers also
can get entertainment in karaoke room.2. To build a place for

DISADVANTAGES OF THE BUILDING 1. This place may lead to fighting
and drunken incident happen. 2. This place may increase the
absenteeism of student because studentsprefer to have fun compare
with study. 3. This place may create unhealthy lifestyle among
students because theyonly know how to enjoy and forget their
responsibility as a student. 4. This place may create sound
pollution which will influence other studentswho having their
class. WAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES1. To overcome the problems of
fighting and drunken we can employ more security to control the
place and of course we can install CCTV system to watch over whats
happening in the karaoke rooms.2. To overcome students absenteeism
problem, the report of students attendance should send to their
parent regularly. Besides every lecturers should take seriously in
every classes attendance so that students will concern about their
attendance.3. To overcome the students unhealthy lifestyle problem,
we should paste more posters about responsibility as a student to
encourage them to have healthy lifestyle.4. To overcome the problem
of sound pollution, the materials which used for the karaoke room
must be sound proof material. For examples, sound proof walls,
better quality bricks, sound proof doors and etc.17 18.

four decades, Taylors higher education division has taken onthe
mantle of developing the nations youth into well-rounded,
competitive andresilient human capital, contributing towards the
development of Malaysiaseconomic growth and prosperity. From its
humble beginnings to its rise into atrademark of excellence and a
global brand name, Taylors has scaled greaterheights, constantly
expanding its developmental horizons to stay abreast with thetimes.
Every year a lot of new students would come to school. When they
join thenew life, they are more excited and happy. At the school
they want to study moreknowledge and have a good experience for our
life. They are young people, they areinterested about anything. In
TAYLORS university there are many free spaces arenot used. We
choose a free place. The place is on the lake between the hostel
andacademic building which we are planning to develop it. 35 36.
SECTION 1 PARTPA RT36 37. OBJECTIVEThe students face many problems
in Taylors university. The first problem isstudents cannot cook in
the hostel. This rule nobody can change it so we are notallowed to
cook inside. It is problem for a lot of students because they
usually likecooking their selves and they dont like eating from the
restaurants. They think eatingin the restaurants are unhealthy and
it is expensive. Secondly they dont have placeto make parties with
their classmates. We cant celebrate for some importantfestivals.
Because many international students live in the hostel, we are also
need aplace to celebrate for important festival for instance china

PART 3MINI SHOPPING CENTRE46 47. INTRODUCTIONI have proposed a mini
shopping centre whereby students and lecturers willbe able to buy
some of the things they need there. This shopping centre contains
avariety of things such as clothes, jewels, handbags, shoes and
phone accessories. So instead of going to a shopping mall one can
opt to buy some items here. This shopping centre is divided based on
the items sold. If a person wantsclothes, they can be found in one
section so he/she doesnt waste time goingaround. Same applies for
other items sold in this mini shopping centre. In general, itis
divided into five sections: clothes, jewels, handbags, shoes and
phoneaccessories. The area of this section is 23m*8m which is 184m2.
47 48. SECTION48 49. ZONING49 50. OBJECTIVES To save time from
going to the shopping mall. For students/lecturers/ staff to
refresh themselves. To provide necessities that mostly the students
need which are clothes, shoes, phone accessories, handbags and
jewellery.TARGETED USERSThe targeted users of this proposal are the
students, staff and lecturers in TaylorsUniversity Lakeside campus.
After classes or during break hours, these targetedusers can visit
this area and get what they need or they can even just go to
refresh.ADVANTAGES Provides the important necessities which people
need. Acts as a refreshment area. It creates employment
opportunities for the ones who sell their items there. It is
targeted for everyone. The location doesnt distract activities held
in Taylors University such as lectures. Visitors are also
invited.50 51. DISADVANTAGES Can be crowded because the area is not
too big. The shopping centre is not 24-hours like the rest of the
building. The shopping centre might not have the exact thing a
person wants becauseit is small.WAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES
There should be enough pathways (pavement area) for people to pass.
The shopping centre should have the most common things that a
personneeds.OUTER LAYOUTThe outer layer is covered by red
representing part of Taylors logo. The roof is red incolour.51 52.

to provide the basic things that we need ineveryday life. This will
help those who dont get enough time to go around shoppingmalls
looking for things they need. It has no discrimination since
everyone is invitedto shop there. Therefore, I propose a shopping
centre to be available. 58 59. PROPOSAL PROPOSAL 4 OPO MELIKA
BORDBAR0311455 PART 4 BRIDGE PART59 60. INTRODUCTION NTRODUCTIONMy
group has chosen to build a 24 hours building with the shape of
Taylorslogo and with the bridge. For my proposal, I choose the
bridge and I make a bridgefor this building. I have plan for each
bridge to make 5m 8m. These bridges are aconnecting bridges and
this building is located between two bridges. I have plannedto
create and design two bridges for the Taylors student especially
who lives inhostel. I want to make a relaxing place, modern place
and safety place for them tothey have the better life in Taylors
and they enjoy their life in Taylors UniversityLakeside Campus. 60

better and more attractive 3. Provide entertainment for student 4.
Provide more place for students to study and discuss about their
project andassignment 5. Relaxing place for the students, staffs
and lecturers 6. To provide the students with more facilities for
the students to improve theirskillsTARGETED USERSIn my proposal my
targeted users are the staffs, lecturers, students especiallywho
lives in hostel and visitors who come to Taylors University
Lakeside Campus. Thus, the students can easily access these bridges
to relax themselves after longhours of class and assignment. The
students who live in hostel can use this placeanytime they want and
they can enjoy their life because its a 24 hours place.ADVANTAGES
1. Its a windy place 2. The bridges are very close to the parking,
Block E classroom and hostel 3. Relaxing place for everyone 4. 24

bridges provide a place for students to study and have discussion
62 63. DISADVANTAGES1. The location of the bridges are far from
Block A, B, C and D2. The bridges are open space with no shadow3.
The bridges can be a little dangerous to risk of falling4. Hot
weatherWAYS TO OVERCOME DISADVANTAGES1. The location of the bridges
are far from Block A, B, C and D but still the user prefer to come
here because its 24 hours, its an interesting place and quiet place
with a lake view.2. The bridges are open space with no shadows. So
I have planned to put some beach umbrella and pergola.3. The
bridges can be a little dangerous to risk of falling but I have
planned to design the beautiful fencing so it can help reduce the
occurrence of falling.4. The weather in Malaysia is so hot and
humid and this place is an open place so I have planned to put a

In brief, in this project I make plan for two connecting bridges.
My goal in thisproposal is to make the attractive and relaxing
place for Taylors University LakesideCampus and users. Our group
goal from build this 24 hours building is for thestudents who lives
in hostel because in Taylors University we dont have any 24hours
restaurant and sitting place, so we discuss together and we decided
to createthis place. I hope everyone like and enjoy their life and
their time with my plan.77 78. SUMMARY This is the end of our
companys proposal to build a building in TaylorsUniversity.
Firstly, the karaoke part can bring fun for everyone to release
their stress.Besides, the 24 hours restaurants and BBQ part is a
great place for party or outdooractivities. Guys can also enjoy the
football match with a gang of friends. There is nomore worry if you
are hungry at the midnight, supper? No problem. Thirdly, the
minishopping centre is girls favorite. They can enjoy shopping
there to fill their free time.It is easier for them to get their
needed things in Taylors University. If you are lazy togo out for
shopping, Taylors University is the best place for you to enjoy
shopping. The last part is the bridge which connected to both
important block, CommercialBlocks and Block C, D and E. It will
easier for users to reach our buildings and thisalso can increase
the number of users to come here. Our building has good drainage
system, ventilation system. Wifi connection, electric power system
and etc. We promised we will build a safety and good
qualitybuilding in Taylors University and of course clean up after
construction ended toavoid water pollution. Thank you . Prepared by
