Playgroup notice Gooloogong Playgroup has closed its doors after 34 years. When numbers dropped to an unsustainable level last year – the current committee made the final decision to close. This has not meant that the kids of Gooloogong are disadvantaged! As a reflection of the changing times in our community & with the availability of the fantastic Mobile Preschool & Long Day Care Service provided by Cowra Early Childhood Centre Mobile the kids of Gooloogong now have the opportunity to play & learn 3 days a week! I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Committee Members both past & present who have given their time to provide a meeting place for the parents & children of the community. It has been a place of friendship & support for so many. We would also like to thank the greater Gooloogong community for supporting our tireless fundraising efforts over the years which kept our Playgroup running! The committee have decided to donate all remaining funds, toys & equipment in part to CECS Mobile so they can purchase equipment as required for the kids at their Gooloogong venue, Gooloogong War Memorial Hall as a contribution to the cost of upgrades & maintenance of the venue that will directly benefit the kids and hence the community as a whole & to the Gooloogong Public School to help our Kindergarten kids transition to big school with minimum fuss and maximum support!
