GLOBAL WARMING
CAUSESI.I. Natural CausesNatural Causes
- release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands (mlaştini).
Methane is a greenhouse gas.
A greenhouse gas is a gas that
traps heat in the earth's atmosphere.
CAUSESII. Man-made CausesII. Man-made Causes
1. Pollution
-Burning fossil fuels (coal, oil) => CO2
2. Population2. Population
Since CO2 contributes to global warming, the increase in population makes the problem worse because we breathe out CO2.
3. 3. TransportationTransportation
4.Deforestation4.Deforestation
the trees that convert our CO2 to oxygen are being demolished because we're using the land that we cut the trees down from as property for our homes and buildings.
EFFECTS
• rise in global temperatures
• rise of sea levels
• Decrease of the snow cover
SOLUTIONS1. When you buy your car, look for the one
with the best fuel economy in its class.
1. replace your incandescent bulbs with more efficient compact fluorescents
SOLUTIONS
3. Plant a tree.
4. Take a shower instead of a bath
5. Reuse your shopping bag
DAVID TODD- WHERE WE GOING TO GO -
They came in the night and they came in the day
They came until they took it all away
And all they left was a barren ground
Where no life can be found
They didn't give a reason and they didn't say why
Millions of trees had to die
In the name of progress was all they'd say
Step aside and get out of our way
• What I want to know is where we gonna go
When the rain don't make our garden grow
And the soil's too dry for the seeds to sow
How long till we learn
You play with fire and be sure to burn
A one way ticket with no return
Cause where we gonna go
Well I don't know
• They tell us technology is a wonderful thing
• Not to mention the destruction it brings
• One step forward and two steps back
• Go from the light and into the black
• They feed us with lies and treat us like fools
• But don't stop to realise its a game we all lose
• On a road to self destruction with every step we take
• Like a ship sinking fast and• no escape
• What I want to know is where we going to goWhen the sun’s threat to all belowAnd our pollution stops our rivers flowIt’s time you and me take responsibilityIt’s a fragile world in dire needCause where we gonna goWell I don't know
Spending money to find life on Mars
It doesn't make any sense to me
Like trying to live at the bottom of the ocean
Some things are not meant to be.
• What I want to knowIs where we going to goWhen the ocean rise and the strong winds blowAnd the temperature melts the ice and snowNot time to waitIt won’t be long and it will be too lateIn this together and we are all at stakeCause where we gonna goWell I don't know
