Migration is the movement of people.

Internal or ExternalInternal – within a country (e.g. rural to urban or people moving to London)External – to another country (Emigrating)

Voluntary or ForcedVoluntary – E.g. West Indians to Britain at the end of the Empire, Polish people to Scotland in last 2 years. Forced – Refugees: war, natural disasters, those who are being persecuted. Can be whole communities
