HIGH PERFORMANCE FOR LOW IMPACTStrategie per la progettazione a basso impatto ambientale
A shopping mall is a building consisting of a complex of shops representing leading merchandisers, with interconnecting walkways enabling visitors to easily walk from unit to unit, along with a convenient parking area . It is a modern, indoor version of the traditional marketplace.A marketplace is an open area commonly found in the heart of a traditional town used for community gatherings. Being centrally located, town squares are usually places of attraction and aggregation for people and events and the scene of commerce and trade.That is why the main idea of the project is to conceive the main entrance and lobby area of the shopping mall, located in the center of the building, as a real square, drawing inspiration from the many beautiful squares of Italian cities.
The base of the building has this particular shape to give a separate entrance to every function.

ENTRANCE TO THE BUILDING:THE ITALIAN SQUARE
The entrance to the building is a big covered square: people, from the main street, suddenly happen to be in the Beryl Mart and find themselves in a contemporary covered market and get finally directed to the heart of the shopping mall, thanks to the sloping floor of the square.
From the main entrance you enter the double height lobby space that spreads to the sloping wings on the sides from which you can reach the escalators and elevators that link the different levels of the mall, where the retail units are actually located.

The wings are functionally higher to allow the opening of the side entrances to the other functions of the building. They are conceived as the steps of a theater where events and exhibitions may be held by the suppliers and where people can stop, rest, have a break.While respecting the layout of modern and contemporary shopping malls we introduce the innovative idea of surrounding the clients of an embracing and welcoming area that slows and prepares the entrance to the retail area.
Two different layouts are proposed for the standard floor. 为标准楼层提供两种方案
OPTION A
In the first case shops are placed in the middle of the floor, while circulation is all around the shops area.
This layout provides a dynamic image from the outside: the shopping mall appears as a transparent box that shows the crowded life inside.
OPTION B
In the second solution the layout is inverted: shops are placed on the edges of the floor, while circulation is on the inner area.
As traditional shopping malls, life is in the inside. This layout permits wide openings on the floors: visual connections among all the levels are eventually assured.

在第一种方案中,商铺都安排在楼层中间,人流的流线在商铺四周。

Modern office buildings must offer added value in terms of flexible and comfortable working spaces, the most modern equipment plant, updated energy savings provisions.

QUALITY OF HOSPITALITY
Picking the perfect place to stay is no easy task. Style, design and service make this hotel the perfect location for the traveller who arrives in Schenzhen.
The monumental aspect is the first thing that strikes the visitor who arrives to the big hall on the 24th floor of the building. Pools of water, gardens and selected natural materials introduce visitors in a world of comfort and elegance.
The main services such as the restaurant or the business centre are located in “boxes” suspended above the lobby. These spaces are clearly visible from the outside and break the smooth texture of the facade becoming it’s characteristic element.
