Scouting the DukesDuquesne is on a two-game skid entering the contest against the Bonnies, but have won eight of its last 10 games. Duquesne is looking for a two-game sweep of the Bonnies after defeat-ing them at home in January. On Wednesday the Dukes lost to Temple, 52-41 and dropped their prior game to Xavier 74-55. Samantha Pollino leads in scoring with 12.4 points and 6.1 re-bounds per game. Pollino needs only 16 more points to join the 1,000 Point Club. The Dukes have also lost to Dayton - another A-10 foe that beat the Bonnies.

Last tIMe against the DukesA 29-9 run that lasted 11 minutes through the second half helped Duquesne shake off a slow start en route to a 57-52 victory at the Reilly Center in January. Despite Duquesne’s 29-9 run, the Bonnies went on an 11-2 stretch to pull within two, 54-52, after scoring on their next five possessions. With a last minute attempt to tie the game, Dana Mitchell was called for an offensive foul sealing the Duquesne win. The Brown and White’s 52 points are a season-low.

st. bonaventure, n.Y. – Behind double-digit performances from three Bonnies, the St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team topped visiting Richmond, 58-45 on Bob Lanier Court at the Reilly Center on Wednesday afternoon. The Bonnies now head into their last two conference games 7-5 in Atlantic 10 action and 19-8 on the season while Richmond drops even in conference play at 5-5 and 16-9 overall. Senior Dana Mitchell and sophomore Jessica Jenkins paced the Bonnies with 13 points each. Mitchell hit 6-of-11 from the field and went 1-for-1 at the line. Jenkins landed 12 points from long range going 4-for-10 and 1-of-2 from the line. Redshirt sophomore armelia Horton wrapped up the double figure performances with her first career double-double putting up 12 points and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds. Senior andrea Doneth dished out six of the Bonnies’ total 10 assists on 22-of-45 from the field for 49 percent shooting. Richmond shot 36 percent on 16-of-44 with Abby Oliver chipping in a team-high 16 points from the bench. Behind sophomore Megan van tatenhove’s six caroms and Horton’s 10, the Brown and White owned the boards 30-24. St. Bonaventure took advantage of the Spiders, grabbing 11 steals and converting 18 points off Richmond’s 17 turnovers including 12 points off 11 turnovers in the first half.

NaTIoNaL raNkINGSSeven Atlantic 10 Women’s basketball programs are ranked among the national statistical leaders in nine categories, according to the NCAA. Dayton, UMass, Temple, Duquesne, St. Bonaventure and Xavier rank in the top 25 in seveal different categories.
OFFENSIVE PRODUCTIONA-10 teams are putting up impressive numbers each night on the floor as Dayton (71.4) and Xavier (73.1) are averaging more than 70 points per game, while the Flyers (+13.8) and Muskateers (+16.5), along with St. Bonaventure (+11.2) are outscoring their opponents by double figures.
rPI raTINGSAccording to The RPI Report, the Atlantic 10 Conference is ranked 10th among the 33 women’s basketball conferences in the country. The League reached as high as seventh this season.
Six A-10 programs are rated among the top 100 teams in the nation, including Xavier (14), Dayton (41), Temple (49), Richmond (72), St. Bonaventure (92) and Duquesne (97).
